A typical day might include verification of product conformance to specifications and drawings through a variety of inspection techniques such as precision measurement tools, hand tooling, visual inspection, electrical test tools, and other tools and techniques. Upon completion of production, you will assist in executing testing such as vibration, stress, acoustic, functional, and thermal vacuum on spacecraft components before integration into the vehicle. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives working independently and possesses uncommon attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues if they arise.
By working collaboratively with a team of world class technicians and engineers, our team ensures that the quality and continuous improvement is built into every level of the production and test process. Typical role responsibilities include:
* Providing a variety of inspections on components as directed by work instructions, drawings, and specifications
* Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to execute productions and test activities and determine if non-conformances exist
* Perform a variety of preparation, in process, verification, and post production/test tasks based on work instructions, drawings, and specifications
* Engage with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement across the production and test cycle to eliminate quality control issues
