Key ResponsibilitiesInspect electrical installation works including:Power distribution systems Cabling, tray and conduit installation Earthing and lightning protection systems Switchgear, MCCs, panels, and control systems Lighting, grounding, and termination works Verify construction activities comply with:Approved IFC drawings and specifications Project quality plans and inspection test plans (ITPs) Applicable international and local electrical codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc. ) Review and witness electrical testing activities such as:Insulation resistance tests Continuity and earthing tests Functional and pre-commissioning tests Identify non-conformances and issue NCRs as required; verify corrective actions are implemented. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site engineers to resolve technical and quality issues. Maintain accurate inspection records, daily reports, punch lists, and test documentation. Support commissioning and handover activities by verifying completion and compliance of electrical works. Promote and enforce Worley's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times. Participate in site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and audits as required. Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical inspection or supervision on industrial, oil & gas, power, mining, or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices and international standards. Previous experience working with EPC contractors or engineering consultancies is preferred. Relevant inspection or quality certifications (e. g. , QA/QC, Electrical Inspector certification) are an advantage. Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. Key Responsibilities: Inspect and supervise surface preparation, painting, and insulation of structural steel, piping, valves, and equipment Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards (e.g., ISO, SSPC, NACE) Monitor environmental conditions during application and curing (e.g., humidity, dew point, temperature) Verify proper storage, certification, and use of coating materials and consumables Review ITPs, coating procedures, and QA documentation Witness and document coating thickness, adhesion, and holiday testing Identify and report deviations, issue punch lists, and maintain detailed inspection records Collaborate with contractors and resolve technical quality issues Support final handover activities and participate in walkdowns Inspect materials, workmanship, and processes to verify conformance with project specifications and industry codes, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety throughout the project lifecycle. Job Description Thompson Engineering is looking for qualified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians for various locations. This position is responsible for the daily oversight of the construction materials testing and inspection on construction sites to ensure specified standards of quality are met. Preferred candidates would need to be open to travel to various jobs sites and locations as required. DUTIES 1. Utilize a 40 lb. nuclear gauge to run tests on construction materials 2. Obtain concrete samples from the ready mix trucks 3. Make concrete test cylinders 4. Run tests on concrete samples and deliver the samples to the laboratory 5. Observe and record construction crew performance data for related activities 6. Perform visual inspection of rebar 7. Obtain and deliver soil samples from the jobsite to the laboratory 8. Interact with clients and contractors in a professional and ethical manner 9. Ensure that company-owned equipment is maintained in good working order for use on projects and/or assignments 10.Ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are implemented on all work assignment 11.Establish and maintain a daily diary of all field activities for each project 12.Submit daily reports and other documentation to the Team Leader as required by project specifications and/or applicable criteria 13.Perform all tasks assigned in a professional and ethical manner and according to company policies and procedures 14.Report to the Team Leader corrective actions (when necessary) to best ensure that the quality of work is maintained and meets company standards 15.Follow all written procedures for work being performed 16.Proactively review all project documents and testing procedures, and exhibit comprehension for the technical requirements and procedures necessary to perform the assigned work 17.Prepare reports and perform field activities in a timely manner Other Responsibilities 1.
