Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience with diagnostic/interventional catheterizations, stents, pacemakers, etc.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to project a professional image and work both independently and in a team

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for maintaining quality control processes, testing products, and recording and analyzing results gathered to ensure products meet quality specifications. This position will support quality by performing tests of components according to safety standards, standard operating procedures, and other related standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform accurate analysis following appropriate standard test methods and report data in a timely manner
Operate various analytical instrumentation for chemical and physical testing such as analytical balances, ovens, wet chemistry, and tensile testing
Keep all laboratory instrumentation and equipment calibrated and in working order
Document inspection results in logbooks, worksheets, and information systems
Verify inspection data to determine conformance and compliance to specifications
Interface/communicate with engineers and/or managers to describe inspection results
Document, track, and complete nonconformance reports
Detect erroneous inspection data and troubleshoot instrumentation to correct
Conduct Measurement System Analysis
Maintain clean and organized laboratory work environment
Practice safe working behaviors and adhere to safety policies, guidelines, and procedures
Train new personnel on QC test methods, procedures, and work instructions
Maintain an inventory of laboratory supplies and place orders when supplies are required

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a science field (Chemistry, Biology, Physics); OR an Associate's degree in chemical technology, or equivalent, with 1+ years of experience as a quality control laboratory technician; OR a High School diploma with 3+ years of experience as quality control laboratory technician
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment, analytical testing methods and results reporting
Knowledge of basic calibration techniques and ability to perform calibration of instruments as required
Strong mathematical skills including ability to calculate results such as averages, percentages, and metric conversions
Understand basic statistical techniques sufficient for evaluation of measurement data trends
Experience working in a laboratory, operating scientific equipment, and safely handling chemicals
Ability to write procedures and reports
Strong work ethic, professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to follow written procedures such as SOPs

What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, the Quality Technician is responsible for conducting routine inspection of product fabrication throughout the process. Verifying code compliance and overseeing the quality of production at Precision Boilers, from the initial receiving of material to hydrostatic testing and final inspection prior shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for conducting Incoming Inspection of critical components and materials and perform verification of ASME Code material as applicable.
Performs inspection of incoming goods. documents and reports on inspection results. Notifies warehouse personnel of conforming/ acceptable product for release to inventory. For product OOS issues correspond SCAR and notify Quality Engineer.
Conduct routine inspection and applicable testing at each individual stage of the fabrication process as indicated on the traveler. This includes but is not limited to: Welding, Cabinet & Sheet metal, Electrical, Plumbing, Paint, warehouse (incoming inspection), Shipping (final inspection), etc.
Conduct regular VT inspections at each individual stage of the welding fabrication following inspection protocols.
Assist with ASME code driven examination (VT, MT, PT, RT) and related activities if/when/as needed.
Assist with creation of ASME nameplates and verify data contents are complete and correct. The same applies for all product labeling and stickers
Report nonconformances identified during routine inspection, assist with data collection and reporting via the quality gate boards and/or e-Database (ProcessMAP).
Assist in conducting internal and external inspection of all vessels prior to hydrostatic testing
Assist with collecting and reviewing all paperwork required for hydrostatic testing as needed
May be required to provide support with QMS documentation development and/or improvement.
May be required to participate in internal and/or external audits (ASME, QMS, suppliers, customer FATs).
Participates in engineering drawing feedback loop process for drawing and BOM changes as necessary to support production
May be assigned to participate in programs, projects, or initiatives as they apply to correction, prevention and/or improvement of product or process quality (e.g. Kaizen, VSM, etc.)
Maintains work area in a clean and safe manner. Observe all safety precautions, rules, and regulations. Comply with and helps enforce standard policies and procedures
