ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support manufacturing and depot-level repair of mission-critical defense electronic systems. This role is responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies and repair work to ensure compliance with engineering requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections of electronic assemblies and repaired units
• Inspect PCBA, cable/harness, electro-mechanical, and box-level assemblies
• Verify compliance to drawings, schematics, work instructions, and travelers
• Inspect to IPC workmanship standards and internal quality procedures
• Document inspection results, defects, and nonconformances
• Support NCRs, defect containment, and corrective action activities
• Ensure traceability and configuration control
• Support audits and government inspections
• Enforce ESD, safety, security, and ITAR requirements
• Provide feedback to manufacturing and repair teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred
• 2+ years of quality or electronics inspection experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610
• Experience in AS9100 or ISO-certified environments
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• U.S. Person status (ITAR)

Your role:
In your role as a Quality Inspector, you will directly support the Telemetry/Flight Termination Systems within the Missiles Sensor and Instrumentation Division with providing quality inspections on various weapon and missile systems, and components.
What you'll do all day:
Perform inspections of electrical and mechanical items.
Complete inspection reports and data entry per requirements.
Generate Non-Conformance Reports and hold Material Review Board meetings for proper disposition.
Review drawings, procedures, & work orders for adequacy and accuracy.
Effective communication and active listening with other departments, leadership, suppliers, & customers.
Exhibit a willingness to learn new methods and systems.
Assist with establishing forms, procedures, and other documents in the creation of a Quality Management System.

Minimum requirements for this position:
Electrical or mechanical inspection with 5 years minimum of applicable experience. Experience in both electrical and mechanical inspection is preferred.
Proficient in the interpretation of schematics, diagrams, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Electrical inspectors should be familiar with IPC-A-610 & IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and the utilization of common inspection equipment (microscopes, magnifiers, Ohm meters, CIRRIS tester, etcs.) and techniques.
Mechanical inspectors should be familiar with common inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, height gauges, etc.) and techniques.
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operating and programming a plus.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
