Position Summary
This position is for a Quality Inspector at our facility located in York, PA. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a hands-on role within the organization and interface with both Operations and Product Development teams while performing incoming inspection of materials and components and performing in-process and final inspections of products for commercial and/or government customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect incoming materials
Perform in-process inspections and/or final inspections on manufactured product
Ensure all materials and product meet Quality standards as per policy and ISO9001/AS9100 procedures
Identify and segregate non-conformances and write non-conformance reports
Support Supplier Quality initiatives

The quality inspector is responsible for verifying and auditing the quality of the products manufactured in each department working that shift, for communicating to employees and appropriate supervisor any issues with quality and collaborating to resolve any quality issues. Responsible for overall testing, education, and communication of quality related matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection and testing accepting or rejecting material and updating records as required by company standards, procedures, specifications, and policies based on ANSI/ASQ sampling plans.
Understand and utilize AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards to perform inspections.
Collect, verify, and file inspection records in the appropriate locations.
Work with management, mechanics, department supervisors, and employees to identify, contain, and correct quality concerns/failures.
Make educated decisions about nonconforming material. If decision cannot be made confidently, include department supervisor or place material on hold for further examination.
Facilitate movement of nonconforming material from production floor, identifying and completing detailed nonconforming material reports, distributing as required.
Participate and/or lead quality investigations.
Communicate details from shift to incoming shift.
Provide support to the Quality Manager and/or Quality Technician when required.

Position Overview
JGM is seeking a talented QC Inspector to join our growing team! The perfect candidate is a professional who thrives on tackling challenges in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This position will inspect raw materials, in-process work and finished products for conformance to shop drawings, specifications, and codes by performing the below duties.
Responsibilities
Conduct complete layout inspections, measuring dimensions (length, height, angles, radii, etc.) using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
Verify quality at all stages: incoming materials, in-process work, and final products.
Visually inspect parts, welds, bolts, coatings, and assemblies; compare pieces to detect variations; enforce standards and legal requirements.
Interpret and apply shop drawings, specifications, ASTM codes, AISC standards, DOT requirements, and welding/bolting/painting codes.
Maintain accurate inspection records, defect lists, and calibration of measuring equipment; coordinate with departments to resolve quality issues.
Support operator training on measurement, visual acceptability, and processes; assist with internal and external audits.
Manage NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) training, testing, certification, and documentation; maintain CWI certification.
Review and approve quality-related purchase orders, reports, and testing requirements.
Assist in developing procedures, quality summaries, and corrective actions; enforce non-conformance protocols.
Serve as liaison with outside inspectors; investigate shop/field errors and support resolutions.
Perform other QA-related tasks as required by supervision.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of welding symbols and diagrams, and inspection tools.
Highly proficient in reading blueprints and other printed instructional material.
Basic Math & Geometry/Trigonometry.
Familiar with variety of weld processes: Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), Sub Arc Welding (SAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and/or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Ability to perform and document inspection activities during fabrication and welding of structural piece members.
Microsoft Office.
CWI preferred.
Self-motivated, collaborative team member.

Education

Quality Technician

The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product integrity and compliance with regulatory and company standards. This position is responsible for performing detailed inspections, testing, and documentation to support food safety, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential functions
* Performs CCP verifications
* Completes COA's needed for each day's shipments
* Performs quality checks and enters data into database.
* Enters data into supplier sites (United/Ingridion etc.)
* Observe and perform pre operation inspections
* Assists in customer complaints and investigations
* Calibrates lab equipment and instruments per schedule
* Handle customer sampling requests as per customer schedule
* Handle sales sample shipments to support new business efforts.
* Places all non-conforming products on hold and notifies team and management
* Understands product flow and production equipment.
* Identifies areas to reduce waste, rework, and other inefficiencies with a focus on continuous process improvement
* Maintains overall cleanliness and housekeeping of the lab.
* Conducts inventory of supplies and re-stocks the lab.
* Trains production team members to perform analytical tests and data entry of results
* Performs accurate microbiology testing using approved methods.

* Monitors data and production schedule changes to ensure testing is conducted to meet all food safety and quality program testing requirements such as environmental monitoring and equipment hygiene testing, etc.
* Contributes to ensuring lab SOPs/procedures are documented, accurate and up-to-date to industry and customer standard testing methods

Rotational Full Time Shift: 3 Day & 4 Day Week: 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Primary Function:
The Quality Control Inspector will assist Quality Control Inspection Supervisor with all daily activities and to ensure that all
product meets customer specifications. This position collaborates with the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor, and
other warehouse personnel to proactively prevent rejections.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all product meets or exceeds customer specifications.

specification are adhered to, and non-conformance product is pulled and corrected.
* Flex Between the shipping dock, receiving dock and production to assist Quality Control Inspection Supervisor

* Report any exceptions to the customer specifications to Quality Control Inspection Supervisor.
* Send out Quality Issues Emails for Non-Compliant Product.
* Oversee floor operations when the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor is unavailable.
