THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Inspector provides technical support to Operations with respect to hands-on utilization of inspection equipment, with the primary goal of determining and reporting product conformance to requirements. The Quality Inspector will also support calibration activities and gage issuance and recall processes. As part of a continuous improvement philosophy, the Quality Inspector may lend specific expertise to investigation and project teams as warranted.
The Quality Inspector must be able to effectively document and advise Management regarding product conformance and capability issues based on observable and repeatable findings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate inspection equipment (Hand Gages, CMMs, Keyence optical comparators, etc), to validate product conformance to all internal and customer documented quality requirements.
Support capability evaluations, measurement systems analysis and improvement efforts for new and existing parts.
Perform advanced bench and layout inspections in addition to CMM / Keyence evaluations, to assist Engineering in completing proof of concept work
Support site Calibration processes by assisting in the completion of calibrations, updating the Gage recall systems, and issuing gages as needed.
Support resolution of measurement issues in the Cells and communicate recommendations for corrective / preventive action and quality improvement.
Support and participate in the Internal Audit Process, Certified Operator Audits, customer and process audits, and NADCAP Certification Teams, where necessary.
Support Preliminary Review of NCMR's for validity of rejections and clarity of documentation, where conditions warrant, may include the need to initiate and follow up on stock purges and line checks
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Must have or be willing and able to obtain Certification by The American Society for Quality.
Must be proficient in reading blueprints.
Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Outlook, etc).
Requires a minimum of three years of experience working in a manufacturing facility with ISO9001/AS9100.
Requires experience in a role with responsibility to accept/reject product.
Must have experience with and be able to use inspection measurement hand tools and instrumentation.
Experience with gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies and process capability measurement is preferred.
Bias for action, integrity, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and superior communication skills are required competencies.

Position Summary
The Quality Inspector 1 is responsible for conducting visual inspections of printed materials and other products to ensure compliance with established specifications and quality standards. The role supports the manufacturing process by identifying and reporting defects, helping maintain product quality, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
As a Quality Inspector 1, you will:
Perform detailed visual inspections of printed materials and finished products to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformance to specifications.
Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria during all inspection activities.
Record inspection results accurately and maintain inspection documentation in accordance with company policies.
Notify supervisors or quality management of any defects or quality issues detected during inspection.
Assist in the disposition of suspect or defective materials, including segregating, labeling, or quarantining non-conforming products.
Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on inspection processes and product quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:
