PRIMARY DUTIES:
Act in the capacity of Resident Engineer, providing extensive inspection and management of construction project and serve as the Client's liaison with the Contractor. Work collaboratively with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and local improvement projects.

Work with client to inform public about upcoming work and potential impacts. Work with the contractor to minimize disruptions to the public.
Provide and maintain all records related to the project in question including daily quantities.
Manage all project submittals and requests for information, ensuring the proper Engineer performs the necessary review and/or guidance.
Keep a logbook of all observations and daily activities for ongoing work and provide the client with daily reports to include all labor trades, equipment supplied by Contractor, and measured pay quantities.
Review applications for payment with Contractor and make recommendations for progress payments to the Client.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Apply concepts of fire protection engineering through investigation and analysis to support engineering projects that may include design of fire suppression systems (sprinklers and standpipes, water supply, special hazard extinguishing systems), fire detection and alarm systems, and smoke control systems, selection of fire-resistant materials and assemblies, and development of egress strategies.
- Perform calculations to analyze and design engineering system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.

Pay Range:
* Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 60,900.00 - Max Salary $ 85,400.00
* Locations in WA, DC & Various CA areas - Min Salary $ 75,000.00 - Max Salary $ 108,800.00
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

POSITION SUMMARY:

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Responsible for acting as the project manager to one or more municipalities or other public agencies. The project manager will act as the single point of contact between the firm and the project. They will supervise and coordinate all projects performed in the firm on behalf of the client, to the client's satisfaction.
Develop or implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure.
Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures (as appropriate) using computer assisted design or drawing tools.
Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications.
Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.
Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.
Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects.
Attend regularly scheduled public meetings (conducted by Municipal clients) in the capacity of Municipal Engineer, or Land Use Board Engineer. Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, project status reports and developmental review projects.
Provide technical advice to clients regarding design, construction, or capital program modifications.
Support of the field activities of our construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to draft reports including illustrations, appendices, maps and other attachments to summarize research results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Stormwater Modeling Software, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSES REQUIREMENTS:
