An Electrical Distribution Wildfire Mitigation Associate Graduate Engineer at HBK Engineering is a position designed for recent engineering graduates entering the professional workforce. This entry-level role involves providing contract engineering resources to a local electric and gas utility in Butte, Montana. The position will support the company's wildfire mitigation efforts by analyzing and improving critical overhead power distribution lines identified as high risk for wildfires. The person in this position will first conduct field surveying in various rural and urban locations throughout Butte, Montana, which includes hiking in adverse terrains. Once field surveying is complete, data will be used to build a pole loading and clearance model on the computer.
