This is a Sr. Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist role for leading new product introduction process as well as development and improvement to support product commercialization and productivity improvement projects for Solstice Advanced Materials. The position will be based in Muskegon, MI USA
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Participating and driving new product introductions for the Research Chemicals business while helping to ensure the Muskegon site follows the NPI process
+ Primarily work on new product developments for pharma/bio-pharma applications while supporting process improvements in the high purity solvents product portfolio as needed
+ Support sales team on customer requests about existing portfolio
+ Address customer issues through the Solstice processes
+ Provide technical support to complex manufacturing issues in the event they arise
+ Represent Solstice at conferences presenting the Solstice's technology and portfolio as appropriate
+ Serve as a key technical contact for Muskegon's product portfolio, internally and externally
+ Provide product/technology training for salespeople, escort salespeople at customer visits

+ Must have two plus years' Experience in GC, HPLC, LC-MS and UV including method development
+ Must have one plus years' Experience in liquid purification methods: distillations, filtrations

Working Environment
Most of this role is performed in a professional temperature-controlled office environment when not working from a home office, remotely, or onsite at a project location.
Additionally, this role is required to attend site visits. During site visits, there may be exposure to a variety of environmental conditions, such as being outdoors, being in indoor non-temperature-controlled environments, and maneuvering into tight spaces to scan existing electrical power and lighting systems. During site visits, you will work long days (10-12 hours) to complete 3d scanning jobs at client locations. These are typically week-long trips and happen 3- 4x per calendar year.
