Akkodis is seeking a Chemical Engineer for a 06 month Contract (with possible extension) job with a client in Kansas City, MO (Onsite). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Chemical industry is a must.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities and Duties
Collaborate with site technical and operational team members to advance technical resolution to outstanding PHA, MOC, optimization, and other action items for 1-4 chemical processes operating within Site 4 AI.
Complete technical definition, validation and reporting for environmental data required for permitting and annual reporting requirements.
Review and improve plant documentation, aimed at improving the readability, detail and clarity of startup, shutdown and normal operations procedures and P&IDs.
Complete technical definition, documentation and execution of pressure safety design packages.
Collaborate with plant engineering resources to scope, document and define implementation plans for process and reliability improvement projects.
Support improvements to plant training programs.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other engineering discipline BS 5+ years' experience in process measurement and applications in a manufacturing or industrial or engineering environment.
Knowledge of chemical processes to effectively analyze, make recommendations and provide resolution to complex problems. Knowledge of OSHA PSM/EPA RMP requirements and associated risk management techniques.
Ability to lead small groups of people as well as to work independently.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical areas.
Intermediate computer skills.
