Role Description We are seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team and lead the development, integration, and launch of automated manufacturing systems for Form Energy's Iron-Air multi-day battery. This role is focused on translating early-stage product and process concepts into robust, scalable, and production-ready automated equipment. This position requires a manufacturing engineer who operates comfortably at the system level, combining deep automation expertise with strong process development fundamentals. You will own automated equipment from concept through commissioning and ramp, drive technical decision-making across mechanical, electrical, controls, vision, and safety domains, and ensure processes are designed for capability, yield, and long-term stability. You will partner closely with Process Engineering, Product Design, Controls, Quality, Software, and Operations to define requirements, manage technical risk, and lead structured experimentation using DoE and statistical analysis to mature processes during new product introduction. This role is hands-on, execution-focused, and requires the ability to lead complex technical efforts with limited oversight. Your work will make a significant and daily impact on cutting-edge battery technology that will revolutionize the electric grid and bring major change to grid reliability and sustainability.
