A Research Technician 2 is being sought to join the laboratory of Dr. Ryoma "Puck" Ohi in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Molecular Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, with lab space located on the 2nd floor of Cancer Research Facility (CRF). Studies in the Ohi laboratory focus on the microtubule cytoskeleton with an emphasis on tubulin post-translational modifications (PTMs) and tubulin PTM "readers". The laboratory uses a wide range of techniques, which includes biochemistry, cell culture, and quantitative optical microscopy. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out administrative and organizational tasks, which include ordering and upkeep of standard laboratory reagents. The role will also include molecular cloning, cell culture, and protein isolation from either prokaryotic or eukaryotic sources. A Research Technician 1 is being sought to join the laboratory of Dr. Ryoma "Puck" Ohi in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Molecular Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, with lab space located on the 2nd floor of Cancer Research Facility (CRF). Studies in the Ohi laboratory focus on the microtubule cytoskeleton with an emphasis on tubulin post-translational modifications (PTMs) and tubulin PTM "readers". The laboratory uses a wide range of techniques, which includes biochemistry, cell culture, and quantitative optical microscopy. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out administrative and organizational tasks, which include ordering and upkeep of standard laboratory reagents. The role will also include molecular cloning, cell culture, and protein isolation from either prokaryotic or eukaryotic sources.
