The base salary range for this role is $127,440 to $159,300. Minimum Qualifications
Education and Professional Work Experience:

The incumbent will serve as a member of the refuge's biology team, and specifically on the Native Plant Materials Project. This project is an inter-refuge and inter-bureau effort to collect, store, and propagate native Hawaiian plants, for use in the rehabilitation of habitats destroyed by wildfire. Emphasis will be placed on common “workhorse” species, those for which large quantities of seeds can be stockpiled for immediate post-fire use. Placements will work closely with other team members to collect seeds from sometimes remote areas that require significant hiking or travel by helicopter.
Occasionally, placements may be asked to assist with other refuge management functions. This includes controlling and removing non-native invasive species to maintain, conserve, and restore quality habitat to meet the needs of endangered waterbirds, seabirds, indigenous plants, monk seals and sea turtles at the Complex. Job Description: The Engineering Technician shall provide Engineering Technician support services for the Red Hill Officer-in-Charge (OIC) organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review Request for Information (RFIs) from government representatives, consolidate responses,
and provide draft written recommendations for the Government Construction Manager to utilize.
Provide written construction/maintenance activity reports to the Government Construction
Manager and Government Maintenance Supervisor that identify issues/concerns and proposed
recommendations for the following activities: critical lifts, residual fuel draining, hot work, waste
disposal, ventilation practices, asbestos removal, lead abatement, heavy equipment movements,
and demolition efforts.
Provide the Government Construction Manager and Maintenance Supervisor with concept of
operations (CONOP) products for demolition, construction, repairs and maintenance tasks that
clearly explain best work practices and appropriate risk mitigations.
Provide CONOP field reports that identify lessons learned from work being executed in accordance
with the approved CONOP for demolition, construction, repairs, and maintenance work, that may
occur at up to 4 locations simultaneously, to the Government Construction Manager and the
Government Facility Maintenance Manager.
Perform monthly field investigations that include the review of facility drawings, rail movement
plans, demolition plans, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), to confirm existing
conditions and document potential conflicts or obstacles.
Review Work Authorization Forms (WAFs), Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) plans, Government escort
requests, and perform field investigations to provide weekly written feedback regarding the
effectiveness of these programs and if there are any improvements warranted.

Maintenance Supervisor.

Provide quarterly Maintenance Execution Plans (MEPs) and bi-annual Long-Range Maintenance

Research and development technician job in Hawaii
Island Geotechnical Engineering has opening for Engineering Technicians. We are looking for responsible, dedicated and experienced and individuals that willing to get trained and certified. We are willing to train a qualified and dedicated applicant.
Job Responsibilities:
Assignments will include, but are not limited to the following:
Communicate with Project Engineers and other Engineering Technicians
Perform daily field tests and laboratory for concrete and soil
Prepare and submit data and reports
Monitor, observe and provide earth construction activities
Help the drill rig operator in the field
Job Requirements:
Strong Organizational Skills and adhere strict quality standards
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Able to work overtime hours
Valid drivers license and clean abstract
Be able to lift 50 lb
Preferences (Plus):
B.Sc. Degree in Engineering
