Perform massively parallel reporter assays and high-throughput screens across diverse cellular contexts using cellular and molecular readouts.

Receive and process specimen shipments
Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis
Conduct testing under supervision of a senior staff
Perform routine technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
Contribute to molecular biology and genomics workflow development and improvements
Ensure accurate and consistent recording of experiment methods, materials and results; keep a high-quality laboratory notebook
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functionality
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe lab environment
Assist with safety, hazardous waste, and facilities
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
Perform other duties as needed
Adjust work schedule to meet time-sensitive project milestones
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a life science or equivalent
One year of experience working in a lab setting
Knowledge of basic laboratory safety and protocol
Skilled in working with basic laboratory equipment
Strong understanding of standard molecular biology techniques (such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, and DNA/RNA isolation)
Proficiency with basic computer skills, including data entry, spreadsheets, and document preparation
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a research laboratory setting.
Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.

Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Senior R&D Technician who is detail-oriented, hands-on, and passionate about supporting innovative applications development. In this role, you'll assist lead engineers with sample preparation, analytical testing, die bonding (manual and automated), and troubleshooting process issues while maintaining strict process control and documentation.
What will you be doing?
* Assist lead engineers in applications development: prepare samples, perform analytical tests, record data and observations, prepare summaries of experiments
* Perform die bonding application manually and automatedly.
* Troubleshoot basic process issues and escalate appropriately
* Perform parameter optimization and failure analysis
* Handling microscopic components; use of microscopes, tweezers, vacuum tools.
* Process documentation, basic troubleshooting, maintaining repeatability and yield.
Who are You?
* Minimum Qualifications: 1+ years of industry experience in a related field.
* Technical certification or degree in electrical, chemical, or a related engineering field is preferred
* One or more of the following: Materials testing background, experience working with metals, QC background, lab experience
* Basic computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ability to log process data
* Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as Minitab is a plus
* Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, communicate effectively.
* Hands-on, good time management skills
* Strong attention to detail; focus on process control, documentation, maintaining quality.
* Able to stand, reach, use fine tools; occasionally lift small weights or handle assemblies.

Role expectations
Lead product development projects and research projects until product launch.
Leverage 3D technologies, software-platforms, and biomechanical principles to incorporate novel solutions into design for orthodontic devices.
Design and evaluate product prototypes with biomechanical test models and experimentation.
Create testing plans to cover efficacy, reliability, verification, and validation.
Connect product outcomes back to the inputs and outputs of advanced 3D manufacturing processes.
Define procedures to evaluate real-world product performance and conduct bench top testing in accordance with FDA/ISO guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to supplement functional performance testing with metrological analysis and/or material characterization.

What we're looking for
B.S, M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or other related degrees/equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in biomedical research and/or product development.
Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping processes for product design and development.
Theoretical and experimental background in structural mechanics and/or biomechanics.
Experience with 3D modeling using CAD software, Solidworks preferred.
Experience with scripting/programming.
Experience with finite element analysis.
Experience in medical device industry.
Experience in orthodontics and/or dental industry.
Ability to generate creative solutions and iteratively evaluate concepts, designs, or methods.
Comfort with test method development and documentation best practices in regulated industries.
Experience with metrological tools and outputs, for example, computed tomography, microscopy, etc.
Experience with mechanical or biomechanical equipment and/or material characterization techniques.
Experience with experimental statistical analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, collaboration skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills.
