As a Machine Learning Research Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge AI/ML models for Human Sensing, with a focus on building robust cross-domain identity recognition systems. Multi‑modal Human Sensing is a foundational capability that powers intelligent experiences based on key human traits such as identity, expression, clothing, action, gesture, gaze and human‑object interaction. Major Apple Intelligence experiences such as personalized Natural Language Search, Memories Creation, as well as personalized Image Generation are powered by our ability to learn robust representations of visual human traits. Efficient real‑time visual human sensing powers flagship Photography experiences such as Cinematic mode and Photographic Styles, communication experiences such as Center Stage, and paves the way for more natural human‑device interactions, e.g., with the DockKit framework. YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Designing, implementing, and deploying state‑of‑the‑art visual recognition systems.
Building foundation models for facial and full‑body perception.
Driving data quality excellence through strategic dataset curation, validation, and generation to support world‑class model development.
Building tools and frameworks for systematic failure analysis, identifying edge cases, and driving continuous model improvement.
Directly interacting with all cross‑functional stakeholders to gather product requirements and translating these into actionable plans for ML research and development.
Effectively communicating results and insights to partners and senior leaders, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
Staying current with the latest trends, technologies, and standard methodologies in machine learning, multi‑modal foundation models, computer vision and natural language understanding.
Actively contributing to Apple's ML community by disseminating research ideas and results, enhancing shared infrastructure, and mentoring fellow practitioners.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields; or equivalent professional experience in ML research and development.
Proficient in Python, PyTorch or equivalent deep learning frameworks.
Proven track record of designing and implementing solutions using modern ML architectures.
Background in research and innovation, demonstrated through publications in top‑tier journals or conferences, patents, or impactful software developments.
Preferred Qualifications
Expert‑level knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art methods in face recognition or other facial analysis and biometric systems.
Hands‑on experience training multi‑modal large language models.
Experience with on‑device ML, model optimization, or production ML systems.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Program Objectives
To provide exceptional training and experience for APP professionals to have a successful career in any emergency department setting.
To prepare candidates well for recognized emergency medicine APP examinations (NCCPA-CAQ for physician assistants, AANPCB Boards for nurse practitioners)
Curriculum
Fifteen (15) months program duration with over 3000 hours of post graduate training
Close to 2400 hours of clinical training
Over 300 hours of didactics to include over an introductory bootcamp followed my weekly activities that include conferences, meetings, case presentations, ultrasound training, procedure lab or simulation.
Over 400 hours of independent study to include case review & presentation preparation, assigned CME and readings, and scholarly research project.

Tencent AI Lab is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge AI technologies, with a particular focus on innovative breakthroughs in large foundation models. The lab's long-term ambition is to drive the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), and ultimately, Artificial Superintelligence (ASI). We are seeking research interns who are interested in developing novel speech/music/audio/vision/language processing techniques and large multimodal models for our Seattle area office located at Bellevue WA for the year 2026.
Every research intern will work with researchers on a research project aimed at attacking one of the core problems by inventing cutting edge techniques. We encourage discussions and collaborations between researchers and interns. Interns are also encouraged to publish the results from the internship. Our projects span a wide range of areas, including developing more effective multimodal pretraining and post-training strategies for audio, speech, music, image, and video understanding and generation. We aim to enable fully duplex conversations, design more efficient large-model architectures, enhance multimodal memory and reasoning capabilities, and advance novel audio, speech, music, image, and video processing techniques-such as encoding, tokenization, and representation learning-with a focus on multimodal applications and end-to-end large models.

The ideal intern candidates are those who
* are Ph.D. students in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics or a related field,
* are self-motivated and excited about developing novel techniques,
* have research experiences in natural language processing, speech, audio, and music processing, computer vision, dialog system, or machine learning,
* have good publication track records and history of creativity and intellectual flexibility,
* can program skillfully in Python and/or C++ and have experiences in using one of the leading deep learning toolkits.
* Intern duration: 3 months (with the possibility of extension). Can start any time in the year 2026.

The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $80,169.00 to $120,000.14 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This position will be eligible for 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked and up to 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, full-time interns are also eligible to enroll in the Company-sponsored medical plan.

We are seeking a Research Intern to join our Audio team. This position will focus on estimating the effective low-frequency corner (ELFC) of audio render systems based on its hardware system capability (distortion). This internship offers hands-on experience in simulation, signal processing, and system modeling with mentorship from an experienced audio engineering team of architects and researchers. Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Minimum Qualifications
* Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in the field of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Acoustics, Physics, or related field
* Demonstrated expertise with COMSOL, Python (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib) and/or MATLAB for simulation and data analysis
* Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
* Intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship/co-op

* Leverage Simulation Methodology and develop as needed: Design and implement simulations to generate sinusoidal inputs and model system responses.
* Define and Calculate ELFC: Establish a quantifiable metric for ELFC using simulated data, analyzing factors like phase shift and amplitude attenuation.
* Correlate ELFC with System Capability: Investigate and model the relationship between ELFC and hardware system capability using statistical analysis.
* Document and Present Findings: Prepare comprehensive reports and deliver a final presentation summarizing methodology, results, and recommendations.
