Responsibilities

The Associate NDT Lab Technician performs NDT (Nondestructive Testing) examinations and related activities such as: Radiography, Ultrasonic examinations, Visual examinations, Liquid penetrant, Magnetic particle, and Eddy current testing. Projects are typically located at fossil generating plants and natural gas pipelines along with other natural gas and electric generation facilities. Technicians are required to evaluate test results in accordance with nationally accepted codes and specifications. The individual will be required to work on extended out of town assignments within the state of Michigan and be willing to work significant overtime as necessary to meet job commitments. The position will require the individual to certify as an industrial radiographer and several other NDT test methods upon completion of training. This position involves work with high energy radioactive isotopes.
