What You Bring to the Table: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in respiratory therapy, including high-risk deliveries and NICU/PICU support Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS, PALS preferred Valid LA State Licensure and proof of vehicle insurance for floating across multiple campuses Strong skills in airway and ventilator management, ABG analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue response, and inhaled medication administration (including nitric oxide) Ability to attend high-risk deliveries, support Neonatal and Pediatric ICU patients, and respond confidently to critical situations Proficiency in operating equipment such as Servo U, Trilogy, V60, NICU oscillator, Neopuff, and ventilators Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills to thrive in variable shifts and across multiple facilities Nice to Have Skills: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) by NBRC Experience with ECMO support and complex critical care procedures Familiarity with Meditech Expanse charting system Preferred Education and Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related healthcare field Prior travel experience preferred, with a minimum of one completed 13-week assignment to ensure readiness for floating and adaptability Other Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Willingness to float between four different campuses within 20-25 minutes' driving distance Must pass orientation sessions and demonstrate competence in all assigned facilities Flexibility for 36/48 rotation schedules, with options for 7 on/7 off, 3/2, or 5/2 rotations Must adhere to safety and professional standards, including scrubbing in Pewter color and compliance with all hospital policies This position offers an hourly pay rate of $56.95, along with competitive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, referral bonuses, paid sick time, and reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other expenses.
