Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) is seeking a Human Resource Coordinator, who, under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources, assists in the administration of human resources function to include, but not limited to, recruitment and retention of staff, orientation, the company leave process, employee relations, policy administration, and coaching and training of people leaders. The Human Resources Coordinator assists with special HR projects and may serve as a project coordinator.

This position is exempt and will offer an annual rate of $45,000-50,000 per year.

Responsibilities
Owns and executes the onboarding process for all new hires, contractors, students, and fellows
Completes background checks and initiates communication between the vendor and the employee to ensure timely onboarding.
Prepares new hire files and maintains existing employee files in the HR Share Drive.
Communicates with new hire to confirm orientation date and documents required for onboarding
Submits requests to IT and coordinates with department leaders for employee onboarding and offboarding tasks.
Loads new hires into all applicable systems prior to hire and sends welcome emails to new hires that includes all relevant information for onboarding.
Serves as point of contact to address new hire questions.
Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
Assist with the preparation, organization, and maintenance of various HR documents, including employee records, onboarding materials, and policy updates
Provides comprehensive support to HR team members in areas such as leave administration, benefits coordination, training facilitation, compliance tracking, employee relations, and rewards and recognition programs.
Completes I9's in accordance with USCIS guidelines and maintains I-9 files
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Assists with the annual open enrollment benefit process
Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
Required to complete clinic visits each quarter as assigned
Support the HR Director and HR Business Partners with administrative tasks
Performs other related administrative duties as assigned.

The Clinical Research Technician is a dual-role position responsible for providing clinical
support and research coordination services. This position combines ophthalmic technical skills
with research administration capabilities, requiring strong communication abilities to educate
patients about complex clinical trials and assist with informed consent processes. The

Responsibilities
Correctly summarizes and documents what the physician verbalizes during an examination including but not limited to; proper charting of the examination, documenting additions to the chief complaint, assessment and recommendations for treatment including justification of decisions reached when appropriate and closing patient charts in a timely manner.
Accurate ICD10 and CPT coding in patient charts
Observes the patient and the physician and assists when appropriate during the exam including but not limited to; providing assistance to the patient as needed, providing additional medications and/or instruments, following directions in a medical emergency.
Maintains an awareness of the patient's verbal and non-verbal communication when the physician is providing instructions as it may be necessary for the scribe to repeat information, provide written instructions, and/or hand out patient education materials for the patient to review at home.
Ensures patient understands all instructions.
Accurately documents amendments to patient charts according to practice protocols.
Maintains the patient flow of the clinic to include confirmation of insurance authorization prior to treatment
Provides support to the clinic by helping execute Ophthalmic Technician duties as needed
Alerts physician to patient-related forms that need completion.
Guides patients to front desk after completion of exam and ensures proper follow-up appointments are communicated to the front desk to be made before the patient leaves.
Evaluates the condition of the examination room to ensure adequate supplies are in stock and patient can safely enter and exit the room
Notifies physician of changes to the daily schedule, especially emergencies.
Facilitates communication between the physician and other staff members as helpful to minimize clinic flow disruptions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
Performs fundus, anterior segment and external photography as ordered by the eye care provider.
Performs intravenous fluorescein angiographies and/or indocyanine green angiographies as ordered by the eye care provider.
Performs scanning computerized ophthalmic diagnostic imaging (i.e. OCT, HRT) as ordered by the eye care provider.
Obtains informed consent form as it applies to angiographies.
Processes film; mounts and labels slides; maintains film log and/or back ups of digital database regularly.
Maintains camera(s), related equipment and inventory of supplies.
Maintains all patient-related records as they pertain to imaging systems.
Maintains records of work performed.
Obtains images for physician presentations as necessary.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two to three years experience in ophthalmic photography and digital imaging.
CRA and JCAHPO certification preferred.
CPR certification necessary.

Responsibilities
Owns and executes the onboarding process for all new hires, contractors, students, and fellows

Candidates must be able to travel to various clinics to meet the needs of the patients and providers, and support the Clinic hours of Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30am-6:30pm. Schedules are provided weekly and are based on the provider's clinic, patient and surgery schedules. Clinic staff are provided with the opportunity for weekend hours if available.

Responsibilities
Greet and sets the tone for a great visit by professionally and compassionately attending to the patients as they arrive for their appointments.
Facilitate internal communications on multiple platforms to ensure an efficient appointment flow.
Maintaining and updating current information into multiple databases; following appointment procedures set by management.
Identifies all patient's responsibilities based on insurance benefit, calculates estimates, collects liabilities and post payment transactions and performs daily reconciliation.
Confirm authorization or referrals for drug approvals
Identifies self-pay and complex liability calculations.
Provide requested and/or required information to patients, physicians and staff, in a professional and timely manner; relay all pertinent information to appropriate staff members
Provide all appropriate information to patients in preparation for appointment: patient intake forms, financial obligations and ensure referrals and authorizations are intact.
Maintain tidiness of the lobby and all public spaces in the front
Follow proper opening and closing procedures, including cash handling when receiving patient payments protocol and all policies set by management.
Promote effective working relations to facilitate the department's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations; maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information.
Keeps inventory of clerical supplies and re-orders as necessary.
Reports safety concerns promptly to appropriate leader.

Performs fundus, anterior segment and external photography as ordered by the eye care provider.
Performs intravenous fluorescein angiographies and/or indocyanine green angiographies as ordered by the eye care provider.
Performs scanning computerized ophthalmic diagnostic imaging (i.e. OCT, HRT) as ordered by the eye care provider.
Obtains informed consent form as it applies to angiographies.
Processes film; mounts and labels slides; maintains film log and/or back ups of digital database regularly.
Maintains camera(s), related equipment and inventory of supplies.
Maintains all patient-related records as they pertain to imaging systems.
Maintains records of work performed.
Obtains images for physician presentations as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two to three years experience in ophthalmic photography and digital imaging.
CRA and JCAHPO certification preferred.
CPR certification necessary.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of ocular anatomy.
Computer literacy.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong team orientation.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Requires normal range of eyesight to perform necessary tasks involved with the photographing of images and developing of slides and film.
