Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Greenwich, Connecticut. This is a contract position, starting part-time and transitioning into a regular permanent full time role. In this role, you will oversee accounting, payroll, and HR functions, ensuring the smooth operation of financial and administrative processes for our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable, processing 5-15 invoices weekly with accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle accounts receivable, including donations logging them into the accounting system and integrating with QuickBooks Online.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, focusing on the primary account and maintaining detailed records.
- Develop and manage budgets for various divisions within the organization.
- Oversee cash deposits, ensuring proper logging and reconciliation.
- Facilitate HR functions such as onboarding, compliance with I-9 requirements, and open enrollment processes.
- Support onboarding, terminations, and benefit selection, including maternity leave management.
- Administer payroll for 26 employees and 60 contractors, ensuring accuracy in time tracking and processing.
- Collaborate on event planning and cost management across departments.
- Proactively anticipate organizational needs and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with automated payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think creatively and adapt to a small business environment.
- Experience managing HR processes, including compliance and onboarding.
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Proven ability to handle budgeting and financial planning.
