This position is at the modeling and simulation group, Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Genentech. We are seeking for a highly motivated full-time summer intern to apply advanced modeling and simulation techniques including translational modeling and quantitative systems pharmacology/toxicology modeling to enable quantitative translation of literature, in vitro and preclinical data to inform the drug design, clinical dosing regimen and optimal therapeutic windows of therapeutic agents. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. The Opportunity During the project, the intern will become familiar with Genentech's workflow for quantitative systems pharmacology / toxicology (QSP/QST) model development and its contributions to clinical drug development key decision making. This research project is aiming for building physiological-based pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic (PBPK/PD) and QSP/QST models to enable translation of in vitro and preclinical pharmacology / toxicology data for informing the drug design and clinical dosing regimen. The Position The AI & Computational Chemistry Intern will support discovery research at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals by contributing to an AI-driven virtual compound library initiative. This internship offers hands-on experience working at the intersection of computational chemistry, cheminformatics, and machine learning to support early-stage drug discovery. Responsibilities Curate, clean, and preprocess molecular and structural datasets to support AI model development and evaluation. ** **2026 Summer Intern - Clinical Pharmacology** Clinical Pharmacology is a dynamic function that plays a critical role in supporting drug development teams and in optimizing the dosing regimen for patients.
