Position Overview: The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) is seeking a motivated candidate to serve as the School Psychologist for the IDJJ Extended Educational Services Program. The ideal candidate for this role will possess previous psychological experience in an educational setting, have a positive mindset, and be passionate about making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth in our care. In this position, the incumbent will participate as a liaison for home-school re-entry student conferences, implement behavioral testing/scoring, and conduct group and individual counseling. The incumbent in this position will assist with special education evaluations and re-evaluations as well as ensuring an environment that fosters growth and opportunity for the youth in our care. IDJJ encourages all qualified individuals to apply Essential Functions: Participates in the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) School District #428 as a liaison for home-school re-entry student conferences, facilitating as an Individual Education Plan (IEP) team member and determining appropriate instructional programming. Administers and scores psychological evaluations for special education eligibility purposes. Serves as Special Education Evaluator for the School District #428 Extended Services.
