Summary: This is an on-site position located in Columbus, Ohio SUMMARY AND PURPOSE OF POSITION Psychometrists are responsible for the administration and scoring of neuropsychological and psychological tests under the direct supervision of a clinical neuropsychologist. Neuropsychological testing primarily involves the administration and scoring of paper-and-pencil cognitive tests (e.g., tests of memory, attention, language, problem solving) and mental health questionnaires. Additionally, the psychometrist will also make note of behavioral observations during the assessment that may be used by the neuropsychologist to aid in test interpretation. The psychometrist may also be responsible for collecting demographic information from a patient as well as other tasks, as assigned. Our patient population consists of adults of all ages (18-90+) with neurological, medical, and psychiatric conditions. The most common referral diagnoses include neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer's disease and other dementias), movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease), epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and multiple sclerosis. Patients often commonly have comorbid psychiatric disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety). The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented, conscientious, efficient, flexible, and will enjoy working within a collaborative team. Compliance Participates in IAT meetings, ETR meetings, serves as a diagnostic member of the IEP team, and supports the development of IEPs and ETRs. Keep all student identifying information confidential at all times and all parent and student correspondences and communications confidential at all times. Report any and all cases of suspected child abuse or neglect immediately to Principal, Assistant Principal, and/or Superintendent, before contacting Children's Services or local law enforcement. Neuropsychological testing primarily involves the administration and scoring of paper-and-pencil cognitive tests (e.g., tests of memory, attention, language, problem solving) and mental health questionnaires. Additionally, the psychometrist will also make note of behavioral observations during the assessment that may be used by the neuropsychologist to aid in test interpretation. The psychometrist may also be responsible for collecting demographic information from a patient as well as other tasks, as assigned. Our patient population consists of adults of all ages (18-90+) with neurological, medical, and psychiatric conditions. The most common referral diagnoses include neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer's disease and other dementias), movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease), epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and multiple sclerosis. Patients often commonly have comorbid psychiatric disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety).
