What You Will Do:
Lead quantitative analysis and modeling of real-world data, including CMS, commercial claims, and clinical health data, to generate actionable insights for federal public health.
Lead analyses to estimate chronic disease population-level prevalence and incidence leveraging real-world data.
Design, implement, and refine machine learning and statistical models (e.g., regression, clustering, causal inference) for surveillance and research purposes.
Develop and maintain data pipelines and dashboards for large-scale health datasets using R, Python, and SQL.

What You Will Need:
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Data Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related field.
Minimum FIVE (5) years of experience in health data science and epidemiology, including deep experience analyzing CMS or commercial claims data, clinical data, or other large health datasets to generate epidemiological population-level estimates.
Strong proficiency in R, Python (including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), and SQL, including large data set manipulation.
Demonstrated experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
Experience with DataBricks and/or Snowflake.
Strong background in population-level public health, with experience in scientific writing and presentation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently to produce high-quality deliverables on-time

The annual salary range for this position is $102,000.00-$170,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Primary Duties

The Ecological Restoration Team at NV5 is seeking a full-time, remote River Restoration Scientist with 3+ years of experience and a strong proficiency in science focused on rivers, streams, and wetlands. The successful candidate will work cooperatively on a multi-disciplinary design team and will be administratively responsible to the River Restoration Group Manager.
Primary Duties
Conduct geomorphic and aquatic habitat assessments utilizing traditional field techniques in rivers, streams and wetlands.

Your role

* Analyze food samples for various physical and/or sensory attributes based on standardized procedures

* Report all errors to Supervisor; assist in investigation for non-conformances.

High School degree or equivalent. This position requires a basic knowledge of computer operation skills to manipulate keyboard while entering sample information into the LIMS. A basic knowledge of food science, chemistry or microbiology is helpful to effectively assign and execute proper test codes and procedures. A broad knowledge of personal computer software and data entry skills is necessary to input data into the LIMS and generate special reports. A basic knowledge of personal computers is required to accurately enter testing data and results.
Required skills:
Analytical skills are necessary for completion of tasks within the department. A basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies is necessary to ensure a safe working environment. Have a working knowledge of the internal TQM programs. Planning skills are useful to maintain supplies of analysis materials and ensure analysis is completed within specified time. Mistakes are identified and easily corrected from the recommendation of the department leadership. The decisions of the incumbent impact the customer and the progress of the testing procedure.
The incumbent receives regular supervision from the Operations Supervisor. The incumbent works toward specific performance goals and targets that are established by the supervisor. The method of attaining the goals is determined by the incumbent in accordance with SOPs. Result and worksheet data are reviewed daily by the supervisor. Repeating analysis or inaccurate reports can strain client relations and increase cost of analysis.

Work Environment:
The incumbent works in a laboratory setting with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur when in the laboratory. Work hours can vary according to the sample load of that particular day and may include weekends. The incumbent must be able to handle all food matrices or other product types as received, within appropriate safety guidelines. Lifting of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Environmental Scientist
Scientist job in Atlanta, GA
APTIM is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist, but will consider an entry level candidate, in the Atlanta, GA area, on a full-time basis, in primary support of our stormwater compliance program. There will also be opportunities to participate in a variety of other environmental compliance support tasks, including but not limited to, solid waste, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, aboveground storage tanks, spill prevention, DOT and RCRA compliance, site assessment and remediation, and/or environmental data management. The successful candidate will be experienced in supporting an environmental team. This position will require travel to client facilities to conduct stormwater inspection/sampling activities, environmental compliance reviews and/or gather related data.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Collecting environmental samples in the field and preparing and preserving samples for delivery to an analytical laboratory.
+ Calibrating and using technical instruments.
+ Gain familiarity with site specific requirements through review of permit and planning documents, including the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) or State-Specific General Permit, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan, and any other applicable plans that have been prepared for the site.
+ Demonstrate ability to efficiently plan, organize and schedule field activities within required frequencies and timeframes including adherence to required communication with client to obtain approval for site access. This includes performing compliance activities at multiple sites on the same day and monitoring forecasted weather conditions to ensure successful completion of weather dependent field activities.
+ Field activities require travel to and from each site utilizing a personal vehicle and interfacing with client personnel at a facility level. Travel and flexibility of working hours is required to accommodate stormwater sampling requirements based on qualifying rain events.
+ Field activities may require working in all types of field conditions/weather, overtime, and on weekends.
+ Responsible for observing and complying with all safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
+ Work will consist of straightforward tasks using established procedures, with the potential for solving routine problems as encountered.
+ Develop and maintain records either manually or by computer method.
+ Perform field inspections, evaluate site conditions during sampling, and document results (visual and written). Provide detailed inspection reports documenting site conditions, work activities, and compliance with permit requirements.
+ Make recommendations for improvements.
+ Executing various work scopes, while meeting project schedules and budgets
+ Working independently, as part of a project team, be able to adjust to changing conditions, and communicate with managers frequently.
+ Interfacing with client personnel at a facility level.
+ Responsible for completion of assigned work activities with ability to manage his/her own time to meet deadlines set by others and ensure delivery of quality work products.
+ Responsible for performing thorough field inspections and assessments through evaluation of site conditions to determine compliance with regulatory requirements, identify and report non-compliance issues identified in the field, and make recommendations toward corrective actions.
+ Following defined processes explicitly while also being able to identify and accommodate new or changing scenarios as well as developing processes for new activities.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics, or biology), engineering, environmental science, or related area required.
+ Related work experience of at least 1-2 years but will consider entry level with appropriate degree and classroom background.
+ Travel and flexibility in working hours will be required to accommodate stormwater sampling requirements based on qualifying rain events.
+ Able to work independently in the field and in all types of field conditions/weather, including during rain events.
+ Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project sampling requirements.
+ Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
+ Strong computer skills required. Must have a demonstrated strength and proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, etc. and the ability to learn other software applications.
+ Experience in stormwater compliance inspection/sampling desirable.
+ Stormwater certification and/or asbestos certification a plus.
+ Current Valid Driver's License
+ Basic computer skills associated with digital data collection and reporting (i.e., autobuild, plangrid, equis collect, etc.)

+ Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) and/or Qualified Industrial Storm Water Practitioner (QiSP)
+ Nationally industry standard certifications
o Certified Professional in Industrial Stormwater Management (CPISM)

+ Experience with reviewing and understanding federal, state, or local regulations preferred.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $24- $26.50 per hour.
