Title: Bus Driver (CDL License with "S" Endorsement Required) Department: Transportation Assignment: 1600 hours scheduled annually FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Director of Transportation Pay Rate: $26.50/hr. A one-time $1,500.00 signing bonus will be awarded to newly hired drivers after the newly hired driver has worked for three consecutive months during the term of the agreement.
Summary:
This position is responsible for the safe transportation of students over specified routes according to a time schedule. The driver in this position must comply with traffic regulations, along with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
* Must possess a valid CDL license with "S" endorsement and have a safe driving record.
* Must possess a school bus permit.
* Must have no points on driving record and be able to pass physical including drug tests (random DOT regulation testing).
* Previous experience as a school bus driver is preferred.
