Main Duties and Responsibilities The Voice and Unified Communications Engineer is responsible for maintaining, administering and troubleshooting the Firm's existing Voice platforms, including voicemail, devices and associated lines, electronic fax solutions and call reporting solutions. In addition, this role is required to support any transitions to Unified Communications platforms, including designing, auditing, testing, configuring and deploying solutions on a global basis. The responsibilities will include ongoing maintenance and issue resolution while ensuring the designated platform has sufficient capacity, performs as required and is readily available throughout the platform's existence, including, but not limited to: Maintain and troubleshoot existing Cisco voice systems; analyze telecommunications requirements and plans, program and test telecommunication systems. Work with external vendors to identify faults and log circuit outages. Investigate hardware and software problems with voice/network devices and work with the manufacturers' support teams to resolve - ensuring the stability of the service. Monitor the health of the voice and UC infrastructure using an array of network monitoring and analysis tools. Assess the platform for any security vulnerabilities and manage the remediation, including any major upgrades where appropriate. Ensure proactive capacity planning, and that appropriate contingency/recovery plans are in place and maintained accordingly. Prepare and maintain technical platform related documentation. Assist in capturing data required for the design and implementation of new UC systems. Perform preventative maintenance (on-site and remotely) of all voice-related systems, including cable plant, firmware upgrades and platform level updates, monitor performance and carry out equipment repairs. Configure, verify and monitor system backups. Program the existing Cisco platform and maintain routing tables in the most efficient manner. Maintain and recommend security systems to protect against unauthorized access and analyze data to detect unauthorized usage and fraud. The Opportunity We're currently seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineering to join our team. This is a key leadership role for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who brings deep expertise in plumbing systems and is ready to drive design excellence, mentor a team, and collaborate across disciplines to create environments that truly serve people. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of plumbing systems for a range of building types, including educational, commercial, and civic projects, from concept through construction administration. Serve as the firm's subject matter expert in plumbing engineering, ensuring code compliance, technical accuracy, constructability, and sustainable design integration. Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to plumbing engineering staff, supporting their technical development, performance, and professional growth. Collaborate closely with architecture, structural, electrical, and HVAC teams to ensure fully integrated and coordinated designs. Participate in and, when needed, lead client meetings, presentations, and engineering discussions; serve as a trusted advisor to clients and partners on plumbing system strategy. Requirements Education & Credentials Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; must be licensed in at least one U.S. state with the ability to obtain reciprocity. Experience Demonstrated experience managing projects from schematic design through construction administration, including coordinating with consultants, contractors, and clients. Proven track record of contributing to build work in relevant markets (e.g., educational, civic, workplace, or institutional projects). Experience leading or significantly contributing to multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative studio environment. Familiarity with the production of technical documentation (e.g., CDs, RFIs, submittals) and the ability to support or lead construction-phase services. Technical Expertise Deep knowledge of plumbing system design principles, codes (IPC, UPC, NFPA, ASPE standards), and best practices. Familiarity with sustainable plumbing system design, including water conservation strategies, LEED, WELL, and green infrastructure. Proficiency with relevant software (Revit, Bluebeam, and industry-specific calculation tools like HASS or Pipe Flow Expert). Experience integrating plumbing systems within complex architectural and MEP coordination environments. Leadership & Collaboration Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering personnel and coordinate across disciplines (architecture, structural, electrical, etc.). Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, task management, and quality control.
