ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The essential functions of this position include working collaboratively on solar and energy projects with engineers, designers, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables. Responsibilities include: Performing detailed electrical design, including one-line diagrams, grounding, lighting, and equipment layouts; Conducting power system studies (load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, voltage drop) using ETAP or EasyPower; Preparing equipment specifications, material requisitions, and reviewing vendor drawings; Coordinating design efforts with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure constructability and code compliance; Supporting field teams by reviewing site layouts, performing site visits, and providing technical guidance; Participating in 3D model reviews with clients, vendors, and subcontractors; Maintaining accurate project documentation, schedules, and design records. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering; EIT and/or PE License preferred; Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in electrical design and coordination, preferably within the power, manufacturing, or renewable energy space; Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and IEC standards; Proficiency with AutoCAD (2020 or newer), Revit, and electrical analysis tools (ETAP/EasyPower); Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Site or field experience is a plus; Requires a valid, clean driver's license, as travel to job sites may be required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is often required to assume a stationary position, and regularly perform tasks that require the handling, inspection, and/or feeling of documents, materials, and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same.
