Summary: This entry level position requires job rotation using several different machines including CNC machining centers, spade machines, reamers, rotary index machines, grinding machines and assembly processes. Essential Functions Load and remove parts from machines. Visually inspect parts for quality defects. Using grinding equipment to clean flashing and imperfections off parts. Assemble several components to produce a complete part. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Document actions by completing production and quality forms. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed while working with others. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Production experience a plus. Some computer skills needed. Attention to detail and organizational skills needed. Must be able to handle repetitive motion of placing metal castings into a fixture and then removing it and then place it into a basket. Must be able to operate small handheld tools on a regular basis. Must be able to visually inspect machined parts as well as gauge them utilizing several types of hand-held gauges. Must be able to perform manual work in a non-climate-controlled factory setting. Must be available to work overtime hours on a shift or mandatory Saturday overtime. Physical Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs. several times a day. Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift. Shift Details 1st Shift is M-TH, 4 X 10-hour shifts, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. All employees are expected to work overtime hours as needed. Overtime is typically twice a month on Fridays and are 8-hour shifts.
