Team Members are required to perform a combination of the following duties during 95 percent of their day. Although the mix may vary from one day to another, our business and staffing model makes it essential that every Team Member be able to perform all of the following duties accurately, efficiently and safely on a regular basis and without advance notice:
Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures as established by Tractor Supply Company.
Recovery of merchandise.
Participate in mandatory freight process.
Complete Plan-o-gram procedures (merchandising, sets, and resets).
Assemble merchandise.
Perform janitorial duties.
Execute price changes/markdowns.
Operate Forklift (unless under the age of 18).
Operate Cardboard Baler (unless under the age of 18).
Assist customers with loading purchases.
Ensure the customer has a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates from the competition.
Ensure the safety and well-being of birds. Sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks and care for birds as required.
Complete all documentation associated with any of the above job duties.
Team Members also may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
No experience required. Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
Education
: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.

Work shifts vary from one store to another, but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours
Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers and adhere to Company safety training and guidelines
Physical Requirements
Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jack).
Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
Ability to safely access all areas of the store including selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area.
Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store (e.g. dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register) (forklift and baler requirements do not apply if under the age of 18).
Ability to constantly operate store equipment such as computer, cash register, and other store equipment.
Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with team members.
Ability to process information / merchandise through the point-of-sale system.
Ability to handle and be in contact with birds/poultry.

The Groomer I prepares and maintains a skiing surface that is safe and functional for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels using grooming vehicles. You must be flexible in your hours and willing to work evenings/overnight as well as weekends and holidays. Operating heavy machinery is a must. Works directly with other groomers as a team to accomplish daily goals and operations. Ability to read instruments and recognize mechanical issues in snow cats. Be able to identify obstacles and hazards in all types of terrain. Is trained to be in compliance with all Risk Management, health and safety protocols. The Groomer I position is seasonal.

Daily operational inspection, fueling, greasing and cleaning of machinery.
Grooming of ski trails in a mountainous environment both during daylight and at night.

Become a member of our Respite team who covers shifts for part and full time Basic Needs Staff and assume their overall responsibilities. They are responsible for the overall safety of program residents and management of the supported housing facility. Staff are expected to be an active part of a team and model effective, appropriate, and timely communication with others regarding client updates. These positions have an immediate start date for training, however, is on an as needed basis once trained. They are nonexempt positions with a base hourly wage of $21.00, with a possible shift differential of $2.00 or $4.00, depending on shift covering. These positions are located in St Albans, VT.
Essential Functions
Supervise and engage residents in program expectations:
Ensure safety of all residents while on the premises/ in community
Uphold and maintain program rules and regulations at all times
Perform facility maintenance to uphold a professional atmosphere
Assist residents in carrying out daily routines and achieving goals outlined in their service plans
Support skill building in life skill areas
Adhere to resident medication plans
Support residents and/or case managers with move-in and move-out procedures
Responsible for accurate and timely completion of record keeping including:
Individual client files, logs and daily database entry
Daily follow-up with e-mail and voice mail
Time sheets, expense reports
Documentation of critical incidents
Communication and cross over with other staff is expected including the following:
Update on the shift and status of all residents
Medication, UA, critical information discussed
Tasks completed and tasks that need to be completed on next shift
It is expected the Respite staff will respond to all requests for coverage to detail if they can take a shift or not. This can be done via email, text or phone calls.
Knowledge and Skills Required
High school degree required and Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum of one year experience working with at-risk adolescents.
Knowledge and understanding of adolescent development and at-risk youth including the following: mental health and substance abuse issues; trauma; attachment issues; complex family dynamics; developmental challenges
Knowledge of life skills work including meal preparation, budgeting, cleaning, healthy decision making, conflict resolution, and job readiness/employment skills.
Ability to set limits and maintain appropriate boundaries. Model professional conduct in and out of work.
Ability to work as an effective team member.

Primary Responsibilities:
Move items onto the sales floor and merchandise store departments such as furniture and household goods.
Act as a point of contact for staff that have any questions, respond when called to requests for assistance from the cashiers, and assign tasks to staff to ensure efficient use of their time.
Sort, price, and clean donations that come in through the donation lane and use best practices to move larger items such as furniture.
Help customers carry purchases to their vehicles.
Assist in unloading scheduled pickups alongside the truck drivers on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, as well as any other specialty pickups throughout the week.
Greet any donors and customers and thank them for contributing to our cause and answer any questions they may have.
Lead the completion of the daily checklist for opening and closing the store.
Complete opening and closing procedures for the store, including reconciling the cash drawer.
Assign tasks and provide basic training to new and regular volunteers. Escalate any concerns or complaints to the managers.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Operate the Point-of-Sale cash register system and help customers complete their purchases. While on the register, always stay within sight of the register area and front door.
Promptly assist donors who come to drop off donations and accept or reject them based on whether the items are in good, sellable condition.
