Role Summary Sherwood is currently seeking a Computational Designer to support our growing, progressive and dynamic civil engineering firm. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of Sherwood's NY team, collaborating with engineering and operations disciplines to cocreate solutions to a variety of organizational challenges. We are seeking an individual who demonstrates a professional skill set with computational technologies, can work productively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, works independently, and develops clear, evidence-based solutions to a wide set of organizational problems. Minimum Skills Typically 3-6 years of relevant experience in Computational Design and Design Technology. Bachelor's degree in Design Engineering, Design Technology, Computational Design, Computer Science, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related field. Proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper, and GIS Working knowledge in at least one programming language or data visualization skill such as Python, and C#, Autodesk add-in development would be an asset. Interest in and passion for sustainability topics, environmental modeling, and using data / technology to enhance the performance of the environment.
