Job Overview:
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a critical role in the movement of goods in and out of our facility. This role includes verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing shipping documents, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
* Accurately document received materials in the inventory system and report any discrepancies.
* Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and carrier coordination.
* Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area.
* Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the timely delivery of materials to production.
* Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory audits as required.

Requirements:

Prepares and ships products as required.

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator provides coordination and support for the efficient operations of the Service Center. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator interfaces frequently with peers and managers and occasionally with customers. This position includes a high volume of data entry. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator completes all tasks in compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local Department of Transportation regulations as well as compliant with all policies, practices and procedures. Shipping
* Place 24-hour advance notice calls to customers within assigned territories to inform them about next-day service.
* Inform Client Services or Dispatchers of order changes
* Verify outgoing shipments of supplies, equipment and materials.
Receiving
* Identifies materials received and completes appropriate paperwork.
* Sign manifests that end at the facility and create billing packets (based on location permitting and need).
* Enter order updates which add to any required Transportation, Supplies, or Demurrage charges once the waste and documentation arrive at the facility.
Service Center Coordination (responsibilities may vary based on service center level and location):
* Obtains 10-day log from supervisor following the daily yard walk, reviews the log against the manifests tracking system and reconcile the reports, and make copy and fill out form using current day's data
* Manage inventory and orders office supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE) using our internal ordering website and obtain proper approvals.
* Review Drivers' data submitted via an electronic logbook to ensure compliance with DOT regulations for hours of service and other compliance requirements, verify information and notify Transportation Supervisor or Manager of any violations.
* Maintain and compile information from drivers' load sheets into one daily report to allow for accurate inventory of warehouse supplies.
* Prepares necessary manifest and land disposal restriction forms and maintains associated filing systems.

Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator provides coordination and support for the efficient operations of the Service Center. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator interfaces frequently with peers and managers and occasionally with customers. This position includes a high volume of data entry. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator completes all tasks in compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local Department of Transportation regulations as well as compliant with all policies, practices and procedures. This position may have a higher focus on either shipping responsibilities or receiving responsibilities based on the Service Center's level and location.
Shipping
· Place 24-hour advance notice calls to customers within assigned territories to inform them about next-day service.
· Inform Client Services or Dispatchers of order changes
· Verify outgoing shipments of supplies, equipment and materials.
Receiving
· Identifies materials received and completes appropriate paperwork.
· Sign manifests that end at the facility and create billing packets (based on location permitting and need).
· Enter order updates which add to any required Transportation, Supplies, or Demurrage charges once the waste and documentation arrive at the facility.
Service Center Coordination (responsibilities may vary based on service center level and location):
· Obtains 10-day log from supervisor following the daily yard walk, reviews the log against the manifests tracking system and reconcile the reports, and make copy and fill out form using current day's data
· Manage inventory and orders office supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE) using our internal ordering website and obtain proper approvals.
· Review Drivers' data submitted via an electronic logbook to ensure compliance with DOT regulations for hours of service and other compliance requirements, verify information and notify Transportation Supervisor or Manager of any violations.
· Maintain and compile information from drivers' load sheets into one daily report to allow for accurate inventory of warehouse supplies.
· Prepares necessary manifest and land disposal restriction forms and maintains associated filing systems.
· Compiles and enters data and reports to manage the logs and operational efficiency and to support decision making to include information about labor hours, equipment usage, consumption of material, quality control, types and quantities of labor and other aspects of operations.
· Creates and edits reports, including incoming and outgoing daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
· Maintains electronic and paper files, rosters, contact lists; accurately update files, reports, spreadsheets and documentation; sort and distribute mail.
· Performs other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

· Supports Safety and Security initiatives at service centers within their assigned region.
· Stay updated on changes in safety and compliance regulations at service centers within their assigned region.

* Maintain accurate inventory counts
* Ensure quality assurance processes and procedures are followed
* Perform product counts
* Stage materials within designated areas, as needed
* Operate all necessary warehouse equipment and tools
* Utilize a warehouse management system to maintain appropriate work documents
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
* Experience with Microsoft Office
* Availability to work a flexible schedule with possible overtime, as needed
It'd be great if you also have:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1 year of experience in warehouse operations and/or inventory
* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
This job requires the ability to:
* Lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and greater than 50 lbs. occasionally
* Move materials weighing up to 500 lbs. using wheeled carts
