    Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all documents (e.g., export declarations, Bill of Ladin, Certificate of Origin, receiving documents, etc.) for a variety of outbound and inbound shipments. Interfaces with internal and external personnel to address and resolve issues associated with the transportation of products. Analyzes and compiles data to monitor and manage the overall performance of the department and plant. Responsible for selecting the most economical routing for inbound and outbound shipments. Coordinates all freight pick-up with a variety of common carriers and/or customers. Responsible for the auditing and accuracy of outbound shipments. Responsible for determining and analyzing freight costs in support of internal and external requests. Responsible for all cycle counting activities. Performs a wide variety of related functions as directed by the Supervisor. Essential Functions: * Process shipping documents such as bills of ladings, packing slips, etc. in accordance with accounting guidelines and standard operating procedures. * Coordinate and problem solve various matters tied to freight pickups, freight charges, claims, transportation options. * Prepare daily and monthly inventory/shipping receiving reports. * Conducts fork Truck training departmental processes, including PIT. * Compiles and analyzes data to monitor performance regarding on time deliveries, freight errors. * Coordinates effectively outgoing/incoming/UPS shipments and receipts. * Work with other plants to ensure product is shipped in a timely manner. * Enter and record scrap data/NCM data and work with QA to ensure its correct. * Keeps work areas clean and free of hazards. * Enter and record cycle counts * Receiving of incoming product both standard and non-standard PO's. * Exercises safe work habits. * Performs other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager. Education and Training: * High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited school. Minimum Qualifications: * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QAD, or similar ERP systems. * Basic understanding of perpetual inventory logic and processes. * Basic understanding of receiving process and its relation to accounts payable process. * Ability to function as an effective team member. * Must maintain a current lift truck operator's license. * Must be able to physically lift 40 pounds.
