A food and beverage company in Costa Mesa is looking for Warehouse Operations and Consultant to join their team for a contract role with the opportunity to be brought on full time. Our client is moving inventory from one warehouse to another and needs help with the project and creating new SOPs and doing large inventory audits for 70,000 sq ft warehouses. This contractor will work hands-on to restructure storage systems, implement labeling and inventory protocols, optimize product flow, and ensure the warehouse meets operational, safety, and food & beverage compliance standards. The Production Assembly & Shipping Associate working to strict safety and quality requirements, assembles a range of raw material frame components and set up/operate various production machines and ship orders using FedEX and UPS shipping platform in accordance with the established procedures and guidelines. This role is multidimensional performing many operations within the production process and shipping with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities PRODUCTION: · Work across multiple areas of production both in production assembly and as a machine operator. This may include some setting up of machinery and basic programming. · Build frame assemblies using various raw material mouldings. · Operate various production machines such as mat cutters, wood cutting, foil stamp and printing equipment. · Operate production line equipment such as joining wood machine, glue guns, staple guns, etc. · Cut and shape production assembly parts. Able to operate computer and run machine program. · Perform quality control checks on their work to ensure goods meet internal and customer standards. Perform production work cell inventory checks and report shortages or issues. · Kit and stage frame assemblies ready for production line final assembly Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work area. · Record daily production totals. SHIPPING: Prepare outgoing shipments, organize the shipping staging area for easy retrieval as new orders are processed. · Qualifications and Experience Levels: Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required if the person has the aptitude to learn quickly. Previous shipping experience with FedEx and UPS platforms preferred but not required if the person has the aptitude to learn quickly. · Experience working in a production and manufacturing environment is a plus. Reporting to a Supervisory or Managerial Staff Member within the facility, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving product for processing, the movement of product through the facility during processing and the loading of product onto trailers to be returned to the customer. Responsibilities/Duties * Receives incoming un-processed product, verifies customer count and lot numbers, notes any damage and enters information into the computer system. * Operates forklift to remove palletized product from truck, and if floor loaded must remove each carton individually and place on pallets and moves to un-processed storage. * Moves product via forklift to and from various areas of the facility for processing. * Removes samples from customer product and coordinates shipment of samples. * May shrink-wrap palletized finished product to be returned to the customer. * May contact trucking company and schedule pick-up of finished product. * Using forklift, loads palletized product onto trailer. * Assists with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
