Organize and label goods: Ensure all materials are properly tagged and stored in the right locations.
Report issues: Flag damaged, missing, or surplus items and coordinate with relevant departments.
Investigate discrepancies: Reconcile inventory variances or issues.
Internal customer service: Communication with various departments to fulfill requests or concerns.
Operate equipment: Use pallet jacks, forklifts, or other tools to move heavy goods when needed.
Other Functions:
Perform inventory cycle counts as requested and assist in bi-annual physical inventory duties.
Provide back-up for other ICCs, as needed, for all Milwaukee facilities.
Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality/Environmental System certifications by supporting: corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
Other duties as assigned.

In the Receiving department you must demonstrate the ability to process timely receipts, inspection, and disposition of items from suppliers. In the Shipping department you must demonstrate the ability to retrieve and prepare customer orders to their standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Remove product from packaging and verify accuracy, security, and condition of product.
Receive products into the appropriate Syteline warehouse and location, using proper FIFO inventory storage methods and following all purchase order instructions as needed.
Affix all identification labels as per work instructions.
Ensure all products identified on the purchase order have been included.
Inspect products per the inspection standard to verify acceptability and accuracy.
Work with the sourcing/material planning and product engineering team to resolve any purchase order, or part number/revision discrepancies.
Unload incoming freight by use of a pallet truck, forklift or by hand.
Strive to improve the efficiency and accuracy of existing processes through creative thinking and the help of other groups within the organization.
Provide efficient and accurate information to all internal customers.
Inspect materials, products, and containers and verify process.
Able to cycle count inventoried items.
Prioritize and process customer orders and service repair orders per the customer requirements and company commitments.
Process small package and truck load shipments.
Work with international shipping regulations and procedures.
Teamwork:
Willingness to be flexible to move to different parts of the shipping/receiving environment or organization to assist areas in need of additional resources.
Ability to work well with a diverse group of co-workers, assist in training of other members and promote a strong team effort to ensure timely and efficient completion of customer requirements.
Trainer Responsibility:
Demonstrate ability to train and mentor new associates on all operations of the material environment.
Willingness to become a certified forklift trainer to train new temps/associates at Dedicated Computing.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education, related training and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and to other associates of the organization.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Communicate (via face to face, telephone, and email) daily with shipping vendors.
Forklift Operation. Will provide training if necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Pick orders from stock or staging areas.
Package and label materials per pick list or work order instructions.
Ensure that all shipped orders meet customer needs and escalates quality concerns in a timely manner.
Prepare shipping paperwork. Contact freight companies to schedule shipments.
Unload or load freight from delivery vehicles.
Verify pick lists / customer orders / work orders / bills of lading information matches product, including product labels. This includes verify product and quantity.
Set up and operate equipment such as saws, drills, presses, and trimmers to perform work order instructions.
Dispose of facility trash and recyclables from staging areas.
Follows all safety guidelines assigned to workstation and equipment used.
Participate in the development of work instructions or continuous improvement projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Building custom wood boxes for shipment of products to customers
Maintaining inventory of lumber for construction of boxes
Spending 10 minutes at end of shift to clean and organize shipping/receiving area
