Job Summary:
Receives merchandise from outside vendors and ensures proper check-in, inventory, and/or credit. Monitors product levels and maintains accurate inventory records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Scope of Responsibility:
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and optimizing inventory procedures within the ERP system. This role involves monitoring stock movements, processing orders, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure smooth and efficient inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data to prevent stockouts, overstocking, or inventory imbalances.
Essential Duties:
* Receive and issue materials, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
* Verify and ensure all related paperwork is complete and in proper order for efficient processing.
* Maintain and update spreadsheets to track inventory, materials, and other relevant data.
* Adhere to all safety standards and policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
* Perform additional duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the department.
* Report for work on time and fulfill your shift responsibilities as planned.
* Complete all responsibilities during your assigned shift as outlined in the schedule
* Engage respectfully with coworkers, fostering teamwork and mutual respect.
Position Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Experience: At least one year experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Abilities:
* Regular and timely attendance is required
* Experience with Hardware Coordination preferred
* Experience with MS Office such as Word and Excel.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and attention to detail are important.
* Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow and constantly changing priorities.
* Must possess clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills.
* Must work with minimum supervision and with all levels of employees, supervisors and managers.
* Must have good computer skills for record keeping and reporting.
* Conscientious attention to and inspection of detail required.
* Must be able to work in fast-paced work environment
Physical Requirements:
* Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources
* Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow and constantly changing priorities.
* Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with the ability to move throughout the office or outside manufacturing plant as needed.
* Must be able to perform physical activities that require use of fingers, hands and arms, such as sitting, typing, using office equipment and reaching. Some additional physical activities may require walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials.
* Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness and a safety-minded individual.

This role is responsible for assisting in the safe and reliable operation, dispatching and restoration of facilities for the AEP SWEPCO.
What You'll Do

Rotating shift work required. Must maintain a high availability for call-out response. Must satisfactorily complete required training and testing to progress to the next level within the Distribution Dispatcher Associate classification within 2 years and to the Distribution Dispatcher classification within 4 years or vacate the position. Key Responsibilities
