What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.

Laborer
Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer that will be responsible for assisting with material handling, assembling and dismantling of equipment, preparing work areas, and cleaning of machines and workspaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Load and unload equipment
Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by other crafts
Clean work area, machines, and equipment
Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
Level ground for scaffolding
Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets
General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris
Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
Vibrate concrete
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in construction preferred
Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
