This role offers flexibility from the start: The position can transition into a fully remote role once you are acclimated. Senior Attorneys with more than 5 years of experience can be considered for a fully remote position from the start. In this position you will: Oversee a diverse portfolio of property and automobile subrogation claims ranging from a few thousand to millions of dollars annually Lead all aspects of case development including intake, fact investigation, damages analysis, expert retention, and evaluation of recovery opportunities Handle litigation activities including discovery, deposition practice, pleadings, motion work, mediation, and trial preparation Serve as a liaison with clients, adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel, ensuring each matter progresses efficiently and strategically Qualifications & Professional Capabilities: 3-5 years of litigation experience with responsibility for substantial litigation work Demonstrated ability to manage a varied caseload from inception through resolution including pre-suit matters and litigation Minimum of 20 depositions and 10 mediations as the primary attorney Valid Florida Bar license; additional jurisdictions strongly valued for a nationwide practice Background in subrogation, products liability, or plaintiff-side personal injury is highly desirable Experience crafting, refining, and optimizing prompts to generate high-quality briefs, memos, deposition outlines, and discovery responses using LLM platforms (i.e., ChatGPT) Career Growth & Professional Development: Attorneys at Derrevere Stevens Black & Cozad benefit from a clearly defined path for professional advancement.
