SUMMARY: The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Bioanalytical Sciences (BAS) is a core department within BioMarin's Translational Sciences division, supporting drug development efforts from discovery through late-stage clinical trials. BAS is responsible for developing, validating, and executing analytical assays that measure pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, and biomarkers across BioMarin's therapeutic pipeline. JOB DESCRIPTION/PROJECT: The intern will: * Work closely with a BAS Scientist on a dedicated research project. * Gain practical experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and protein biochemistry. * Apply common laboratory techniques, which may include immunoassays, flow cytometry, quantitative PCR, and mass spectrometry. * Design, conduct, and interpret experiments. * Present project updates at group meetings and project summary to the broader department at the end of the summer.
