We are currently hiring for laundry attendants! This role is a partner to housekeeping and operates our washing and drying machines, folding sheets, and guest laundry. Laundry staff is accountable for, but not limited to: Receiving and sorting cloths and linens according to fiber, color, and soil. Accountable for, but not limited to: - Embracing and representing the FLL Core Values in all situations; We are Fun We are Willing to do whatever is needed We have the Durability to consistently meet expectations We are Effective at driving results We are Genuine We're here to serve others with Selfless Leadership - Receives and sorts cloths and linens according to fiber, color, and soiled condition - Operates washers and dryers in accordance with safety standards - Notifies Maintenance of any repairs needed in a timely fashion - Coordinate and execute the Guest laundry process - Folds, wraps or places on hangers, completed laundry - Maintains laundry room and equipment in a clean and orderly manner - Makes minor repairs to items, i.e., replace buttons, mend torn clothes and linens - Help with Housekeeping as needed, especially during the shoulder seasons - Performs related work as required such as water landscaping, dishes, cleaning fleet cars, etc. - Works with Service Team Manager to provide clean, fresh linens and housekeeping services to Guests - Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. - This position reports to the Service Team Manager Salary Description Starting at $11.00/hour plus tips (+ $10-15/hr)

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results. This position is responsible for the proper care and cleanliness of facility laundry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Adherence to Policies Must show courtesy and respect to other employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, the general public, etc. Abide by Eduro HealthCares drug and alcohol policy. Maintain good personal hygiene and dress and groom appropriately. Report on time as scheduled and follow all company policies and procedures. Attend staff meetings and in-service sessions. Become thoroughly familiar with emergency procedures. Must be able to perform duties in a timely fashion, and within the prescribed sequences and schedules. Must be cooperative with other departments and be courteous and respectful in dealing with them at all times. Participate in and respond professionally to surveys (inspections) conducted by government agencies. LAUNDRY DUTIES include The primary purpose of your position is to maintain laundry in an efficient, clean, orderly, safe and sanitary manner to ensure clean clothing and linen are always available to meet the needs of the residents. All laundry must be done according to sanitation procedures, safety precautions, infection control and universal precautions. Sort resident clothing and linen into appropriate bins. Soak soiled laundry (in bleach when necessary). Separate all laundry according to texture and color and then follow normal washing procedures. Dry clothing and linen according to manufacturers direction, making sure lint screens are free from lint. Fold and deliver personal clothing to resident closets, ensuring all are in correct rooms. Label unmarked clothes. Return clean linen to closets. Make sure never to wash wool, dry clean only, and clothes to be washed by family. All laundry must be done in a manner that will not damage contents of machine or the machine itself. This means do not overload the machine, use correct amounts of laundry detergent and keep all foreign objects away (spoons, etc.) Use proper laundry sorting procedures to ensure laundry is not damaged. Properly clean and maintain equipment. Report malfunctions to the building maintenance supervisor or the administrator. Assure that an adequate amount of laundry supplies are maintained in storage area to be able to perform daily tasks. Must work with a variety of chemicals and must be aware of their use and the possible reactions. Always follow the directions on the label. Patient Care Be personally involved with all aspects of resident care to the extent necessary to assess its quality. Respect all resident rights, including the confidentiality of resident care information. Report immediately to the proper legal authorities if you have reason to believe a resident has been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, or been a victim of theft of their personal property. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, and love, giving the resident the quality of service you would want to receive personally. Education and Experience Sufficient knowledge and experience in long-term care High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required duties. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English. Bi-lingual skills welcome Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Completion of orientation required by company policy. Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment. Mandatory drug test upon hire. Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Frequently move about the facility and transport laundry and other supplies up to 50 pounds. Must be able to rapidly assist in the evacuation of all residents from the building in case of emergency. Equipment Must be able to use the following equipment: industrial capacity washers and dryers, iron, broom, laundry carts, vacuum cleaner, mop, and duster brush. Work Environment Must possess the ability to work in a wet or humid environment May be asked to work beyond normal working hours and must have flexibility and willingness to work holidays, etc. Must work in an office and other areas of the facility as needed. Is subject to illness, diseases, and other health conditions present in the facility. Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility.
