IT Support Specialist Description
South College Nashville is seeking an IT Support Specialist. This position is Full-Time on-site in Nashville, TN. The IT Support Specialist is sharply focused on providing enterprise level technical support and customer service for South College remote and onsite users.
Broadly, this position provides front-line technical support for nearly all of the systems for which IT Services is responsible. Responsibilities include installation and/or configuration of computing hardware (computers, network switches, printers, etc.), software, A/V devices, network cabling, diagnostics, troubleshooting and face-to-face white-glove end-user assistance.
Essential Functions and Competencies
Document incoming Helpdesk requests using internal ticketing system
Install, repair and maintain desktop and laptop computers, peripherals and related systems
Provide end user support via remote assistance, in person and telephone.
Support and enforce company information policies and procedures.
Provide support for Microsoft and Apple products including Laptops, desktops, MacBook and iOS
Assist in maintaining hardware and software inventory for asset management.
Install and support AV equipment for classrooms, conference rooms and auditoriums
Demonstrate broad knowledge of technology principles, practices, and procedures
Self-manage and prioritize activities in a way that allows flexibility to support multiple tasks at any given time
Assist in updating support documents within knowledge management for the IT Services team, as well as end users

Maintain professional standards of practice in teaching in the classroom and clinical settings.
Meet South College standards for course syllabi creation and submission, classroom management, use of technology, grade submission, and records management.
Function as a part of South College and South College School of Nursing faculty group. Participate in meetings, projects, recruiting, and committee work.
Prepare and implement teaching and evaluation strategies for engagement of students in the profession of nursing.
Support student success through mentoring, tutoring, and advising.
Maintain currency in education and nursing knowledge and application through continuing education activities.
Contribute to the School of Nursing and South College evaluation processes to measure outcomes
Requirements
Education
Master's or Doctorate Degree or in Nursing preferred
BSN will be considered for LPN programming with significant clinical background or prior teaching experience.
Experience
Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse
Formal education in teaching and learning principles for adult education preferred, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation preferred.
Licensure
Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee or in one of the eNLC compact states

The South College Nashville - School of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies educational program is seeking an industrious and highly experienced Physician Assistant to colloborate with our team of Physician Assistant Educators as an Adjunct Professor. A well-qualified, right-fit candidate will join the existing team of full-time faculty and in fulfilling the program's commitment to lead our students to become competent, compassionate, and comprehensive Physician Assistants. The new Adjunct Faculty member will participate in the educational and administrative aspects of the program, including didactic instruction, student assessment activities, and course assessment activities. The South College Nashville PA Program provides faculty with consistent, dependable administrative support and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities will include:
Administer instruction and student assessments related to assigned course(s).
Curriculum development, delivery, and assessment (for assigned courses).
Active mentoring of PA students throughout assigned courses.
