The Sr. System Test Engineer develops and executes System Test Plans for small, unmanned air vehicles and missiles and their associated subsystems. Testing encompasses simulator, ground and flight tests and includes logging and analyzing data and documenting test results. Position Responsibilities Support and lead developmental test and evaluation of sub-system, model-scale, and full scale testing. Assist the Flight Test Director during flight tests Determine and communicate subsystem, system and flight test objectives. Develop test cards to verify that those objectives are met Review System Requirement documents to help ensure requirements are concise and testable Lead and participate in test and flight readiness reviews, test briefs, and post-test debriefs Ensure test assets are prepared to support testing, including the proper configuration of product hardware and software, writing test cards and procedures, and maintaining test equipment Process and analyze test data to determine test results. A Software Engineer I on the Advertising Applications team at GumGum builds and maintains a variety of web applications used by both internal and external users. This role is for a full-stack engineer who will work on both the frontend and backend, participating in a team that prioritizes skill sharing and learning. They will make an impact by developing applications used every day across the company. This role will have a collaborative perspective, supporting the implementation of tasks by pairing with other engineers, product managers, and QA to build key sections of various applications. An engineer in this role is familiar with and works in technologies such as React, Redux, TypeScript, and Java/Spring on the Backend for the API. Note: GumGum fosters a flexible work environment, offering GumGummers the ability to work either in-office or remotely/from home. For this position, in-person/office collaboration is required 2 days per week, supporting a balanced approach to flexibility and team engagement. What You'll Achieve Design, develop, and maintain new features and improvements for a variety of React web applications Develop backend functionality with Java/Spring, including extending and maintaining APIs Owns scoped individual tasks and tasks with project-level impact with minimal guidance Support more senior engineers with projects with implementation of tasks ranging from inception to production release (and beyond) Collaborate with other teams such as DevOps, Designers, and Product to optimize our applications and brainstorm creative solutions together Implement tests and ensure proper functionality and graceful degradation on multiple browsers Seeks to improve and learn best practices from code reviews and peer feedback Help troubleshoot user-reported issues from the team's applications with support Seeks to understand the advertising industry, as required to be able to make decisions about our technical approach and provide our users with more efficient applications Create new web applications from the ground up if needed May share knowledge by contributing to our technical blog and giving presentations/talks with guidance Skills You'll Bring Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is a plus 1-2+ years Software Engineer experience, including JavaScript Candidate has shipped code to production 1+ years experience with React 1+ years experience with Java Core understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Use of Git and command-line tools Comfortable using browser developer tools and build tools such as Webpack or build Understanding of responsive design concepts and cross-browser compatibility Understanding of deployment pipeline and processes for releases. Prioritization of tasks in alignment with company goals. Knowledge of SQL Familiarity with RESTful API concepts What We Offer At GumGum, competitive base pay is a part of a total rewards package which also includes benefits, an emphasis on recognition, development, and wellness. The reasonable estimated base pay range for this role is from $128,000-$149,000 annually. The actual amount may be higher or lower. Individual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant qualifications, work location, and labor market conditions. The total rewards package offered also includes an employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan, and depending on the role, participation in a bonus, commission, or stock incentive program.
