Job Summary We are seeking a Welder Fitter or Fitter Welder to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the setup, assembly and welding of mild steel or stainless-steel pieces in a variety of scenarios. The primary function is welding mild steel. The ideal candidate will be skilled in MIG welding and able to pass AWS and/or QC weld department standards. A background in steel manufacturing or metal fabricating is beneficial as well. Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately. Requirements · Required - High School Diploma or GED equivalent. · Prefer 2 years of experience MIG and/or TIG welding steel and galvanized steel. · Prefer 2 years of experience operating hand and power tools. · Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship. · Mechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling). · Skilled in hand and power tool usage. · Ability to follow proper safety procedures. · Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues. · Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds. · Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
