Studio Assistant / Community Arts Center / Part time

Job Description
The Studio assistant will have the opportunity to assist in several areas of Community Arts: Community Arts Center, Studio Go mobile art van, and Community Arts signature programs and events. Based at the Cleveland Museum of Arts Community Arts Center, this studio assistant position will support all community arts studio-based programming. Programs include Studio Go, our mobile arts studio; open studios, workshops, and school programs at the Community Arts Center; signature events such as Parade the Circle and Chalk Festival. This role supports the museum's strategic priorities of engaging audiences of all ages in collection-based arts experiences.
Must be able to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday in addition to a flexible weekday schedule.
Part time 20-28 hours / week
Hourly wage: $15.00
Requirements and Key Competencies
Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience with studio art, art education, and working with the public, including school-aged children preferred. University students enrolled in studio, art history, or art education programs are encouraged to apply.
Ability to communicate effectively and work successfully with others in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must be able to work Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday, and weekday times as needed.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate program activities by engaging, encouraging, and providing clear instructional support and personalized feedback for participating children, families and adults.
Understand each community arts program and its connections with the Community Arts Center and CMA's collection.
Assist with preparation, set up and cleanup for all studio programs at Community Arts Center, for Studio Go and other outreach events, and for community arts signature programs.
Communicate and interact with visitors in a friendly, respectful manner.
Anticipate needs as they arise, taking initiative.
Maintain and organize studio and activity spaces, storage areas, supplies and resources.
Tally the number of participants to help track program reach.
Engage participants in satisfaction surveys during classes as assigned and when appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.

The position of Studio Manager (SM) is seen as an integral role within the West Coast Fitness (WCF) organization. They are responsible for the total oversight of their designated studio with a special focus on sales and operations. The Studio Manager position is a full-time position that demands a top-tier leader to maintain and grow the overall success of their studio. The SM is a highly trusted individual with access to sensitive and confidential information. The SM is responsible for creating a positive, high-energy, respectful OTF studio environment with the utmost professionalism, tact, and discretion. The SM is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, streamlining studio operations, and supporting recruitment/optimal staffing within the studio. In addition, the SM is responsible for assuring that all levels of the studio organization perform in line with the expectations for each role (Sales Associate, Assistant Studio Managers, Fitness Coaches and Dual/Single Head Coaches) The SM will report to the Regional Sales and Operations Manager/Regional Team. This is a salary-exempt Monday-Friday role (with periodic exceptions to working weekends such as in-studio and out-of-studio events) with monthly bonus opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Foster the Orangetheory community and culture inside and out of the studio
Develop and execute new member acquisition and retention plans alongside the marketing team
Proactively address your studio's hiring needs by identifying your team's strengths and areas of opportunity
Recruit, hire and develop a stellar sales team
Ensure all company-wide initiatives are executed in/out of the studio
Acknowledge your team's wins and show gratitude
Provide in-the-moment feedback and coaching to your team when necessary
Oversee the onboarding, training, and development of all new full-time, part-time, and ASM new hires
Be an expert on studio-specific and company-wide operational procedures and policies
Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset and ability to execute within company standards in any situation
Coach your team on time management and prioritization of tasks/initiatives to ensure all deadlines are met
Use discretionary judgment to ensure OTF brand standards are being followed and communicated with ROM
Ensure studio-level goals & operating budgets are achieved
Perform monthly evaluations of Sales Associates/Assistant Studio Managers and provide mentoring for improvement
Evaluations should include a one-on-one meeting to review performance notes.
Plan, attend and help execute a minimum of (1) community event per month and ensure the Sales Team has a presence
Strategize and execute a Monthly Marketing Plan (B2B, Guerilla Marketing, Community Events, Brand Awareness, Partnerships + Sponsorships, etc.)
Attend quarterly Regional Sales Workshop
Ensure that the facility is clean, maintained, and operationally sound
Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service
Must possess the ability to resolve conflict
Engage and monitor Slack Communication
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related job field, a plus
Knowledge + Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of previous sales experience (highly preferred); minimum of 3-5 years of retail or equivalent management experience; minimum 2 years of recruiting, hiring, and developing experience; experience in the Health and Fitness Industry (preferred); experience in customer service/hospitality (preferred)
Soft Skills: Self-motivated and driven sales professional; excellent communication and organization skills required; ability to effectively give training presentations to small groups, with previous experience in training/mentoring; intermediate computer skills (MS office and basic software programs); ability to work flexible schedules as needed, including weekends and holidays
