Compensation:

Overview
The Transport EMT is responsible for assisting with patient care during transport. The EMT has a thorough knowledge of operations and maintenance of transport equipment. The Transport EMT safely operates ambulances on emergent and non-emergent transports. The EMT works effectively as a team member, supports a teamwork philosophy, and promotes positive relationships with referring providers and organizations.

Responsibilities
Operates ambulances safely on emergent and non-emergent transports. Ensures ambulances are safe, clean and operational.
Assists with direct patient care within the scope of EMT training.
Promotes a positive relationship with referral health care providers, other CMH employees, families and fellow transport team crew members.
Participates in Quality Improvement activities and demonstrates professional commitment to maintaining required certification and attending education/training, meetings, and assigned committees.
Qualifications
HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience emergency services such as fire, police, dispatching (communication specialist). One to two years experience in hospital with direct patient care. Direct patient care and ambulance operating experience preferred.
One of the following: Licensed Emergency Med Tech KS, Licensed Paramedic KS required upon hire
One of the following: Licensed Emergency Med Tech MO, Licensed Paramedic MO required upon hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Upon Hire
Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization (PEARS) Required 90 Days
Current MO or KS Drivers License Required 30 Days
Current Driver's License (any state) Required Upon Hire

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $21.93/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
