Work with the anesthesia department with stocking and ordering anesthesia supplies as needed. Participate in the turnover of the OR in a timely manner. Assist Central Sterile Processing as needed. Practice and monitor aseptic techniques to prevent infection and contamination. Participate in the surgical time-out process per facility policy to ensure patient safety. Review and update physician preference cards as needed with the supervision of the Clinical Manager. Clean and prepare instruments and equipment after use, returning them to the proper area for storage or processing. Differentiate sterilization methods required for specific instruments and equipment. Prepare and monitor high-level disinfectant solutions, ensuring their efficacy. Assist the Operating Room RN with the handling of specimens according to facility policies and procedures, ensuring proper labeling and care.
