Travel Surgical Tech Job
Surgical technician job in Midland, MI
Job DescriptionEmbark on a dynamic journey as a Surgical Tech, anchored in Midland, Michigan, with an expansive pathway that embraces travel across diverse U.S. healthcare settings. This weeks-long assignment begins on December 22, 2025, offering you a guaranteed 40 hours per week and compensation in the range of $1,438 to $1,566 per week. As a skilled Surgical Tech, you'll play a pivotal role in the OR, supporting surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams with precision, focus, and relentless attention to safety. This is more than a job-it's a chance to influence patient outcomes, refine your craft in a high-stakes environment, and grow within a network that values your expertise. While Midland serves as your home base for this engagement, you'll also have opportunities to contribute in other locations nationwide, expanding your repertoire and building a broad professional footprint. And as you envision your next chapter, remember Michigan's beauty-forests, lakes, and small-town charm-complement a fulfilling career with moments of inspiration outside the OR.
Midland, Michigan, is a compelling place to practice with a balance of professional opportunity and lifestyle appeal. You'll benefit from a supportive medical community, access to state-of-the-art operating suites, and the chance to collaborate with seasoned perioperative teams. Beyond the hospital walls, Michigan's natural splendor awaits: tranquil lakes, scenic trails, and seasonal landscapes that invite outdoor exploration during downtime. The state's robust healthcare infrastructure provides learning opportunities, mentorship, and a network of peers committed to excellence. For those drawn to variety, the program also offers the allure of working across multiple U.S. sites, delivering exposure to different patient populations, procedures, and hospital cultures. This blend of stable base-focused work with flexible travel assignments creates a dynamic career rhythm that sharpens your skills while enriching your personal experiences.
In this role, you'll be the critical link in the surgical suite. Key responsibilities include preparing the sterile field, selecting and passing instruments, maintaining instrument counts, and anticipating the surgeon's needs to support efficient workflow. You'll scrub in and assist with a broad range of procedures, monitor sterility and patient safety, and collaborate closely with circulating nurses, anesthesia teams, and surgeons. Your meticulous attention to detail ensures instrument integrity, contamination prevention, and successful outcomes for every case. The position offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth within the Surgical Tech specialty, including exposure to diverse procedures, enhanced proficiency with instrumentation ecosystems, and the chance to mentor junior staff in adherence to best practices. The role also invites you to participate in quality improvement initiatives and to contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Compensation and benefits are structured to acknowledge your expertise and the demanding nature of travel assignments. In addition to competitive weekly pay in the approximate range of $1,438-$1,566, you can anticipate a bonus structure that recognizes performance, tenure, and contributions to team success. Housing assistance is provided to ease relocation concerns, and extension opportunities allow you to lengthen the engagement if you choose to deepen your integration with the facilities you serve. A 24/7 support network accompanies you while you travel with the company, ensuring you have reliable access to assistance, guidance, and resources whenever you need them. You'll also receive comprehensive onboarding, continuous clinical support, and access to ongoing education aimed at expanding your perioperative competencies. The combination of steady guaranteed hours, robust support, and structured growth paths makes this more than a temporary assignment-it's a strategic step in your surgical technology career.
Our company values a culture that empowers staff, prioritizes patient-centered care, and champions professional advancement within a supportive environment. You'll join a team that recognizes your precision, respect for patient dignity, and contributions to efficient surgical care. The organization commits to your development through mentorship, advanced training opportunities, and clear paths toward increased responsibility and recognition. A collaborative leadership approach ensures you're heard, your ideas are considered, and your career trajectory is aligned with your goals. Whether you're seeking to specialize deeper in perioperative science, pursue leadership roles within the OR team, or expand into related areas of perioperative services, you'll find encouragement and resources designed to help you thrive.
If you're ready to elevate your Surgical Tech career while exploring Michigan's landscapes and the broader U.S. healthcare terrain, we invite you to take the next step. This position combines the stability of a defined schedule with the excitement and variety of travel assignments, offering the best of both worlds for a professional eager to grow, learn, and contribute meaningfully. Apply now to join a company that values your skills, honors your commitment, and supports your journey toward greater clinical impact and career fulfillment.
