Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. The Surgical Services Surgery Department includes General Surgery, Endoscopies, Orthopedics, Urology, OB-GYN and Opthalmology.
PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
* Prepares Operating Room and field, selects instruments and packs for appropriate cases in accordance with surgeon preferences.
* Assist with surgical procedures under direction of the circulating nurse and / or practitioner in accordance with scope of practice including but not limited to passing of instruments, sponge count, and maintaining sterile field.
* Performs room turnover, decontamination of instruments, stocking, and other duties as assigned
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Training and Experience
* Minimum of (2) year's prior experience in either IP or OP preferred.
* Total joint experience a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
* Current CST and BLS a plus.
* Washington State DOH reg required.

SurgicalTechnician Job Responsibilities:
Provides patient with explanations and verbal reassurance if necessary.
Adapts procedures to meet individual needs for patients of all ages.
Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment for each individual surgical procedure.
Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping of patients for surgical procedures.
Anticipates needs of surgeons during intraoperative phase; including but not limited to: preparing passing instruments and sutures to the surgeon, assisting with lenses and scopes, exposing operative sites using correct instrumentation and assisting with the application of postoperative wound dressings under the direction and supervision of the surgeon.
Accurately completes operating room counts (instruments, sponges, needles, etc.) and follows proper procedure in case of incorrect count, reports all discrepancies to circulating nurse and surgeon immediately.
Carries out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments/procedures.
Checks all equipment/instruments needed prior to each procedure to ensure correct functioning.
Follows aseptic technique when opening sterile supplies and setting up procedures.
Scrubs for all procedures performed in Surgical Services Department.
Sets up, scrubs and prepares for procedures at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled time, unless otherwise directed by circulating nurse or Surgery department director.
Maintains an orderly and sterile instrument table for the purpose of efficiency; follows department standard set-up.
Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures and after last case, restocks supplies when necessary and organizes effectively for end-of-case cleanup.
Responsible for the care of instruments, equipment during intra/postoperative phase, including cleaning and processing of instruments.

Our community is looking for a Care/Medication Technician to join our team.
The Care Giver/Med Tech role includes providing hands on care, physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home like environment.
Responsibilities:
Care Giver:
Responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift; knows where their residents are and physically checks on them throughout the shift.
Observes, reports and documents symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary and participation in activities.
Responds to security system and resident call bells promptly.
Notifies supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
Assists with continence management and disposes of all continence products properly to ensure sanitation of resident suite and community restrooms.
Serves and collects food trays and assists as needed; reports refusal of meals or loss of appetite.
Maintains cleanliness of resident's room and work areas.
Practices good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health.
Helps residents maintain independence, promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident.
Actively participates/leads and assists residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.
Engages residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
Greets and assists all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.
Does resident laundry as assigned and needed.
Medication Tech duties:
Reviews service plan to learn pertinent information about residents.
Assists/observes medications and treatments for each resident using the medication observation record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
Documents and initials form as medications are given including appropriate documentation for refusal or missed doses.
Maintains confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication.
Reports all resident concerns made while assisting resident with the medication to the Nurse and/or Health Care Coordinator (HCC).
Restocks medication cart after all medication passes.
Assists in checking medication regardless of packaging system.
Counts all narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse each shift.
Maintains and cleans the Medication Room, med charts, treatment carts for neatness cleanliness, availability of medications and expired medications.
Follows re-fill process for medications.
Participates in the development of the Service Plan and monthly updates.
Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration rates.
Reports occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks and hazardous chemicals immediately.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Certified Nurse's Aid certification preferred.
High School diploma/GED
Must be 18 years of age.
CPR Certification preferred
First Aid Certification preferred
Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Incumbents are also accountable for maintaining quality control for all imaging equipment and radioactivity assaying devices and maintaining their knowledge of the frequent technological and innovative changes in the field of nuclear medicine through participating in continuing education, seminars, meetings and in-services.
Essential Duties:
* Prepares equipment for imaging tests, based on physicians' orders and in adherence to department safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results.
* Prepares patient and performs nuclear medicine procedures.
* Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.

Education/Experience:
Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program resulting in an associate's degree or bachelor's degree.
License/Certification:
* Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
* Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (N).
* Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

PeaceHealth is seeking a Emergency Department Technician for a Part Time, 0.30 FTE, Night position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $21.91 - $32.85. Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing direct patient care activities within his/her scope of practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician in the Emergency Department.
Details of the Position:
* Assists nursing staff and other care team members with patient care: receiving patients by ambulance and from triage; assisting with ambulatory patients; setting up and assisting with procedures; obtaining patient vital signs; dressing or undressing patients; providing treatment supplies when needed; application of sterile dressings; restraint procedures; immobilization of extremities; cast and splint applications; patient transport.
* Performs basic patient observation skills and reports significant changes in patient condition to the appropriate team member. Observation of secluded or restrained patients.
* Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs. Assist in keeping patient care areas and equipment clean.
* Performs clerical and communication functions to support departmental operations and patient care.
* Order entry and results retrieval in the computer system.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Will perform environmental services, security assistance and emergency response duties as needed.
* Successfully completes non-violent crisis intervention training during orientation and renews training as outlined in policy.
What You Bring:
Education
* Accredited Program Required: Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant or
* Accredited Program Required: Medical Assistant or
* Accredited Program Required: Emergency Medical Technician
Experience
* Minimum of 1 year Required: Work experience as a Certified or Registered Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT
* Preferred: Prior acute care hospital experience
* Preferred: Previous leadership/supervisory experience
* Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs
Credentials
* Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of WA required.
* WA State Food Handlers Permit required.
* Minimum of one year of work experience as a Certified or Registered Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT preferred.
* Required: Upon Hire Basic Life Support
* Note: If hired prior to October 1, 1997, may qualify for this position with a Registered Nursing Assistant designation from the state of Washington.

Acute Care/ICU Patient Care Technician Job Responsibilities:
Answers signal lights and bells to determine patients' needs.
Bathes, dresses, and undresses patients.
Serves and collects food trays and feeds patients requiring help.
Transports patients to treatment units, using wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or may assist them to walk.
Assist with ambulation.
Drapes patients for examinations and treatments, and remains with patients, performing such duties as holding instruments and adjusting lights.
Assist patients to bathroom, bedside commode, or with use of bedpan for toileting
Tidy and clean patients' rooms.
Washes and dresses bodies of deceased persons.
Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephones.
Takes and records blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration rates, glucose levels, and food and liquid intake and output as directed. Reports unusual findings to nurse.
Assists with turning and repositioning patients as needed.
Reports to RN any abnormal vital signs, skin breakdown, decline in mentation or other observed changes,
Enters data into computer system.
Places telemetry electrodes accurately when ordered.
Collects urine and stool specimens for lab, runs guiac testing
Job Requirements:
Current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification
