Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infant required. WSI certification preferred. Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs. Training in the SafeSplash curriculum will be provided. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds in weight. Uniforms:Instructors are required to wear SafeSplash uniforms which include logoed female one piece suits and male board shorts. SafeSplash Swim School will cover 50% of the cost of one uniform per calendar year per employee. Additional uniforms must be purchased by the employee from SafeSplash Swim School at or below cost. The Plunge operating hours are from 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with classes and programs offered at various times. The Positions LIFEGUARD ($18.94 - $20.88 per hour) Lifeguard duties include but are not limited to: * Enforce pool safety rules and regulations; * Monitor swimming and other pool activities; * Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning; * Apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid; * Inspect swimming pool for cleanliness and perform routine maintenance; * Keep a daily log of rescues and other emergencies and prepare written reports of these activities; * Assist in teaching swimming techniques.
