Primary Purpose of Position
Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of plant specific nuclear maintenance and technical training programs (Chemistry, Engineering, Maintenance: Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical, and Radiation Protection).
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Drives the clean energy center (CEC) and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Coordinates, and conducts performance-based maintenance and technical training programs as required by user community in accordance with Constellation's systematic approach to training model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.
Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high- quality training.
Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED with 3 years of nuclear technical discipline experience or 5 years of related (applicable discipline instruction) experience OR
Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. chemistry, engineering, health physics, mathematics, physics), education or training with 2 years of related technical discipline experience or 4 years of related (applicable discipline instruction) experience
The requirements as outlined above meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.5.4) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Private Lessons: $22.50/hr.
Under the guidance of the Aquatics Director, a Swim Instructor teaches swim lessons to members. Greets everyone by using names whenever possible; extends thanks whenever appropriate; makes relationship building the number one priority at all times. The position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester are conveyed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct swimming classes in accordance with the YMCA of the USA & YMCA of Greater Rochester Program Guidelines.
Supervise all children and adults entrusted to the care of the instructor.
Maintain the premises in a clean and sanitary condition.
Maintain accurate records on individual participants that will lead to accurate information on certificates.
Enforce all pool rules.
Promote the YMCA mission and demonstrate YMCA Character Development to all members.
Report in proper uniform (swim trunks for men and one piece bathing suits for women).
Be acquainted with other available facilities and activities.
Provide a lesson plan for any substitute.
Secure a substitute instructor when unable to fulfill assigned duties and notify supervisor of changes.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Maintain all certifications required by the YMCA of Greater Rochester.
Requirements
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must hold current certifications in CPR-Pro & AED.
Must obtain First Aid and Oxygen Administration certification within 30 days.
Preferred current certification in YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or Red Cross Water Safety Instructor OR 2 years minimum documented experience of teaching swim lessons.
Interest in working with and teaching swimming to diverse groups.
Must possess values consistent with the mission of the YMCA.
Must obtain YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor within 90 days of employment (or first class offered) or upon expiration of current WSI.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Hear noises and distress signals in the aquatic environment, including in the water and anywhere around the zone of responsibility. Candidates must understand that significant background noise exists in all indoor and outdoor aquatic environments. In addition, lifeguard candidates should have a minimum hearing threshold of no more than an average of a 25-decibel loss in both ears over a range of frequencies (500Hz, 1000Hz, 2000Hz, 788 and 3000Hz). Candidates who use hearing aids or other corrective devices for hearing should be able to perform all rescue skills and emergency procedures without interruptions to adjust, retrieve, or install or attach a hearing aid or corrective device.

Meet strength and lifting requirements.

The University of Rochester Department of Family Medicine is now accepting applications for its one-year, instructor position in the Surgical Track of the Maternal Child Health Fellowship. Our program provides one of the more robust OB experiences in the Northeast for our 12-12-12 residency program. Highland Hospital delivers approximately 3000 babies per year and has historically had an impressively low 20% Cesarean rate. Our longstanding Surgical Obstetrics fellowship is expanding from 2 to 4 fellows per year with a new emphasis on training physicians for rural practice funded by our recent HRSA grant.
This one-year faculty appointment is designed to train Family Medicine physicians in high risk/surgical obstetrics and management of common newborn conditions. You will be trained in cesarean sections, postpartum tubal ligations, obstetric ultrasound, newborn resuscitation and stabilization, care of newborns in the Special Care Nursery, rural health care and care of high-risk obstetrical conditions.
Your responsibilities, which will be based at Highland Hospital, will include:

+ Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
+ Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
+ Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
+ Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.
+ Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high- quality training.
+ Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
+ Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ High school diploma/GED with 3 years of nuclear technical discipline experience or 5 years of related (applicable discipline instruction) experience OR
+ Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. chemistry, engineering, health physics, mathematics, physics), education or training with 2 years of related technical discipline experience or 4 years of related (applicable discipline instruction) experience
+ The requirements as outlined above meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.5.4) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
+ Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

The University of Rochester Department of Family Medicine is now accepting applications for its one-year, instructor position in the Surgical Track of the Maternal Child Health Fellowship. Our program provides one of the more robust OB experiences in the Northeast for our 12-12-12 residency program. Highland Hospital delivers approximately 3000 babies per year and has historically had an impressively low 20% Cesarean rate. Our longstanding Surgical Obstetrics fellowship is expanding from 2 to 4 fellows per year with a new emphasis on training physicians for rural practice funded by our recent HRSA grant.
This one-year faculty appointment is designed to train Family Medicine physicians in high risk/surgical obstetrics and management of common newborn conditions. You will be trained in cesarean sections, postpartum tubal ligations, obstetric ultrasound, newborn resuscitation and stabilization, care of newborns in the Special Care Nursery, rural health care and care of high-risk obstetrical conditions.
Your responsibilities, which will be based at Highland Hospital, will include:
+ Working on the labor deck; this will include daytime shifts, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays pursuant to a schedule that distributes these responsibilities equitably among the Family Medicine Fellows and the Obstetrics and Gynecology residents
+ Office-based care at the Family Medicine Center
+ 1-2 months of rural rotation based at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY
+ Elective time
