We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated candidates to join our team! In this role, you will teach swim lessons to children and/or adults, helping them develop water safety skills, improve technique, and build confidence in the water.
This position is perfect for high school and college students, teachers, or anyone seeking a rewarding role with a flexible schedule. We work with you to accommodate class schedules, sports, and other jobs.
We have weekday shifts available from 3:15 to 7:00 pm, and weekends vary from 8:45 am to 1:45 pm depending on location.
Key Responsibilities
Teach proper swimming technique in a safe, positive, and appropriate manner to various levels and age groups in accordance with the company's curriculum (We will train you!)
Ability to demonstrate and explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use appropriate teaching devices.
Excellent communication skills with your team, leaders, and patrons.
Assist with pool setup, cleanup, and adherence to facility guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in a swimming pool environment, where stamina is needed to stay in the pool for prolonged periods and to perform moderate to heavy lifting of pool equipment or children and adults who may require removal from the pool. Must possess the mobility to stand, stoop, kneel, reach, bend, climb, push and pull equipment, and swim. Vison and hearing must be sufficient to see and hear adults and children in crowded and noisy conditions. Must possess the ability to swim distances and dive to pool depths, as determined by testing/certification authorities, and to lift 150 pounds or heavier weights with assistance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to swim; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

Responsibilities:
Conduct classes
Teach students in and around pool, flexible hours and potentially some weekend hours.
Create a fun and gentle environment following current British Swim School methods, policies, and safety procedures as directed by the Aquatics Manager
Attend staff meetings and ongoing trainings/coaching as requested by the Aquatics Manager
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Enthusiastic, assertive personality with strong relationship and customer service skills
Effectively communicate with children, customers, and staff at pool location
Disciplined. Follows schedules, safety procedures, teaching methods, and all procedures of British Swim School
Open to give and receive feedback to ensure integrity of instruction, build professional relationships and to collaborate while in and out of the water.
Ability to demonstrate and teach swim strokes appropriately and as trained.
Qualifications:
Lifeguard certification preferred.
CPR and First Aid certified.
