We are currently looking for an Accounting Analyst II/III/Sr for our Houston, TX or Owensboro, KY office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Assist in developing the annual budget and 5-year strategic financial plan
Prepare, analyze and report EBITDA forecasts and free cash flow projections
Assist in managing a strategic financial modeling framework for growth projects, incorporating metrics, debt analysis, free cash flow, and other key financial components
Manage transactional and analytical accounting for all Boardwalk Pipelines entities
Conduct monthly budget center reviews and detailed account analyses
Perform account reconciliations and variance analyses to maintain financial accuracy
Compile and review federal regulatory reports
Create and post journal entries
Design, develop, and analyze comprehensive financial and operational reports
Generate and present internal reports to support management
Prepare and deliver financial information for external customers
Assist in the upgrade and implementation of financial systems
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and maintain an organized approach to tasks
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Suite or other integrated financial systems
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
5 years of experience in finance or accounting position
Strong analytical background with knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and other key financial functions
CPA or MBA
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
* Perform month end closing, including submitting journal entries and preparing reconciliations for proper cutoffs
* Prepare monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet review for all assets and liability accounts
* Prepare/present annual budget
* Prepare quarterly forecast, including requested variance analysis
* Process weekly payroll
* Update Impact 3-C
* Review/prepare monthly accounting and financial reports including period variance analysis
* Process accounts payable
* Complete waste billing templates for non-paper sales
* Provide tax, insurance and audit (internal and external) support as necessary
* Research and explain cost variations
* Maintain/improve internal controls regarding purchases, inventory and payroll
* Capital - provide information to support requests, prepare and submit requests, close and capitalize projects
* Review inventory (rolls, sheets, packaging and maintenance) for aged and/or obsolete materials
* Research and apply accounting policies and principles to properly record, report, and maintain financial data
* Lead Accountant at Site
* Assist on special assignments and prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis

Professional Experience/Qualifications:
* BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance with 0 - 2 years related experience in an accounting/finance role; experience within a manufacturing operations environment /process is preferred but not required.
* Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capabilities. Including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
* Experience working in an ERP system, preferably SAP, Kronos and JD Edwards experience is an asset
* Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
